@sumfattytuna actually bardock didnt wear a headband it was toras white arm bandana. in the movie bardock:the father of goku when tora died. he wiped the blood off toras face with the bandana,the blood covered all of it and he wore it around his head.tora was his best friend and he faced frieza with toras.BLOODY BANDANA :)

au contrare, mon ami. it seems that the more diluted the saiyan blood runs, the easier the transformation. Goku? it was hard. Vegeta? He was driving himself insane from wanting it. Trunks (1/2 human saiyan hybrid) was an easy transformation (in the main timeline... he turned ssj when he was a kid), goten didn't even ackownledge it as a big deal, and vegeta jr and goku jr went ssj without even realizing it.
