I love all 3 drummers that AC/DC has had like phil is just the steady hard ass rocker and hes original, chris is such a pounder he fucking rocked
AC/DC on one of their biggest tours when he plays its so lud it sounds great and simon was more of the pop sounding drummer like not saying acdc is pop far from it but on albums like who made who u can hear it hes my fav drummer... AC/DC forever!!!
@marksman444 AC/DC had over 10 good drummers...in the early years of AC/DC,there was Collin Burgess on drums,Peter Clack on drums,Howe...and then Phill Rudd arrived...he was in AC/DC from 1974 to 1982...he returned in AC/DC in the summer of 1994...and Simon Wright and Chris Slade were great drummers too...all AC/DC drummers are rock legends
This is true rock'n roll...AC/DC is the best Rock Band in the Universe!!!Fuck Tokio Hotel and Linkin Park!!!!AC/DC is TRUE ROCK!!!!THE GREATEST ROCK BAND IN THE UNIVERSE!!!THE GODS OF ROCK!!!!
Chris Slade was a good drummer, but not the right fight for AC/DC. He was too mechanical. Rudd locked in better with Cliff Williams and provided the perfect foundation.
@mwboyer1 I personally Like Chris Slade better. He usually looked like he was having a fucking blast while he was drumming. Phil does better beats, and hit's it hard, but lacks the bit of speed and the same personality as Chris did.
Phil never leaved the band for a fistfight with Malcom if this was so why it didnt happen earlier and i think they never will because these are the guys that make AC/DC its the right combination of people youve got here there are many other bands that not exist anymore after 20 years these guys still do and Phill left because he got ill and thats why they got the replacement drummers in al those years simon and chris are no bad drummers at all thats what you can hear on RE FOW .
Brian even said Slade was by far the most talented musician that AC/DC ever had. But as you mentioned, Phil's got the groove, which makes SUCH a difference.
Rudd did the drumming on some of the FOTS, and left before the tour started, on this it would've been chris slade if you lookat the year, i.e. The Razor's Edge
@lundad uhh, no he left and moved to New Zealand because he was an alcoholic and needed a break to kill his addiction, Malcolm did the same earlier (granted it wasn't very long)
@acdcftatr he may well have been an alcoholic, but it wasn't just that, I think it was mostly just the stress of touring that got to him, after all he took Bon's death badly, I wouldn't say he left because of alcoholism, cos I've seen pictures of him recently with a beer. And besides Malcolm left for a while way after Phil rudd left anyways.
no look on the internet and look up blow your video on wikipeadiea it will show you the drummer and i have the album so im right your wrong fuck face/brain
I liked this song fast, but I feel sorry for the rest of the band, not least Angus, who had to play incredibly fast just before the solo. Why can't Chris just play it slower?
With it played that fast, I feel sorry for Angus when he has to play the solo! The pentatonic runs are fuckin fast even at normal speed, but a this speed, Christ!
@hardrockerdave94 thats why angus is possobly the best rock guitarist to ever live.He doesnt just turn the distortion up, and tap like eddie van halen or every other so called "shredder"( im not trying to put eddie van halen down, im just saying angus is better in my opinion),he actually PLAYS, and when he does "tap"(thunderstruck) he does it one handed with hammer ons.
@MrCrb333 actually, Thunderstruck is all alternate picking - the hammer-on/pull-off thing is just for the video. you can't get that staccato sound by hammering.
Um, I'm not excited when I hear Chris play too fast and Angus struggle to keep up. Phil knows what he's doing. Chris's time with AC/DC proves that fast, technical drummers are not necessarily good drummers. Why do you think AC/DC decided to let Slade go?
These guys are awesome!

@REvolutionGER That's a negative ghost rider-the pattern is full. The best drummer for AC/DC is, and always was Phil Rudd. And me, of course.
