It may be sloppy BUT I watched this over a few times, all he practically did was flick his wrist and it did a combination of a slow spin/ crappy catch. BUT still landed in the right postition. Other than that great job :)

If it isn't clean, it doesn't even need to be in the show!! The only reason the people tell other people what they are apart of is not because of bragging. It is because they want people know they are not just an average person and they want to justify that they actually know something about guard.
Here we go. The positive is that the bands intervals were ok. People were out of step, the stop was not clean at all, the sound was wimpy, color guard was not together, dm needs to always give a beat pattern, and my opinion about the rifle is that if it's not clean it shouldn't be in the show no matter what you do or what you play. Not only was the toss sloppy, but you also moved a lot after you tossed, your free hands were horrible, and it didn't lock.
our trumpets are better than that.... and they hate the guard. but yeah our drunline can toss really well. but unfrotunately we need the drumline as the drum line and our director doesn't like guys in fall guard..... weirdo >: [ i hate that stupid "rule"

that was probably the worst toss i've ever seen in my life. my friend in DRUM LINE can toss better than that and no one has even taught him. at least he can keep his levels low and not toss just lofty crap doubles.
sexual preference has nothing to do with guard abilities at all i agree. the guy above me apparently thinks otherwise though. i was just saying that im also a straight maile trumpet player and not only do i teach marching in the fall, but i teach rifle in the winter.
ya i have marched colorguard in marching band both at my high school and at ASU, i have marched like 3 different winterguards, and drum corps and i teach guard.
Hmnm Yes, Yes it was. No offense, but somthing like that should only be done in a show if the person has the experience to do it......even in most competitive circuts that would just be major points off...wether tob,ussba,or what ever.... even if the person knew what they where doing.

umm....yeah...i mean...great he can toss it and catch it....but it would have been much better if it actually had some rotation and technique to it and that he didn't have to move to catch it. I can toss rifles to the moon but it look terrible...tosses are measured by rotations not by height
