That technology is both extremely amazing and potentially limitlessly helpful to mankind, as well as extremely dangerous IF it ends up in the wrong hands. And I'm not talking about evil AI, robots turning against us, etc kind of BS, I'm talking about your average terrorist guy from the middle east, equiping one of those jumping/crawling things with bombs and sending it on it's mission. If you program them to locate humans and then carry them to safety...that's exactly what they'll do. Robots, computers; they're only machines. They don't have brains. They don't have emotion. They have no reasoning power (unless you program it). And they don't inherently understand world domination.
