  • The best method of losing weight - first-focus.ru/tds/diet.php This is checked!!!

  • does pickled meat count as raw food?

  • those raw desserts are just too loaded with fat and sweetener of some kind. Better to just have a nice simple bowl of fresh organic fruits. They are beautiful to look at though.

  • @niveacreama707

I agree. A piece of whole fruit always tastes better than any dessert concoction made with them. I look at the recipes and think: "Why waste all of that wonderful fruit?"

  • I'm sure the docs mean well.. the bottom line however is that we get minimal/no training in nutrition in medical school. Maybe a couple hours on obvious nutrition deficiencies, i.e. scurvy, kwashiorkor etc. However, many food enzymes are broad-spectrum, meaning that they work in the stomach pH for a long time before being broken down.. also, it takes food a long time (up to hours) to travel from the stomach to the small intestine - plenty of time for autolysis and digestion by the plant enzymes.

  • we are very dainty with our food dirt freee blood freee pick it off a bush or tree

  • who here would run down a gazzle sink your teeth in rip it apart lap up the bloody marrow of thee now fly covered bones and do it with a smile. n e 1 drooling. how about an orange tree in the distance with that color that stands out amongst the greenery the aroma flooding the air just the sight brings salivation thirst quenching satiation fruit appeases all senses. yummm that patch of wheat looks delicious yummm those buried carrots look delicious... sarcasm...

  • why can't we all just accept that nature feeds us what we need, exactly as we need it. We are meant to eat fruit but throughout time we've let "smart" people turn food into toxins... so here we are, dumb.

  • We are a species it seems... and as a species we have a species specific diet... we were designed for food "cooked" by the sun the problem is that all food is destroyed especially the food meant for us....codex alimentarius, UN ,ettc... I have seen and experienced raw before and after complete codex implementation... amazing results. no stench, toe fungus gone, perfect eliminations etc 80/10/10 diet

  • Well, what is a "regular and healthy diet"? You will find that the opinions differ a lot on that one.

Personally I've seen a dramatic improvement in health going from a (what I think) healthy cooked whole food diet to a raw diet.

Not saying that it's what works best for everyone, but raw food has helped so many people to improve their lives and even saving their life, so calling it stupid is rather.. well.. stupid.

  • that doctor reminds me of the doctor in the simpsons when they go "lets ask this doctor" and he just goes "ah" and they cut him off ahahahah

  • Wow...was that an actual doctor??

I think unprocessed, more veggie, fruit, nuts, and seeds are the best way to go..But to each his own.

  • thanks for sharing , that durian looks delicious o_o

  • of course the doctor is going to say it is extreme... he wants business

  • As a medical student, I can understand his position. He is a doctor in the western medical tradition and as such practices evidence-based medicine, and there is no evidence supporting raw food (why would there be, who would make a profit from the results?). He is also right about the stomach acid breaking down the proteins and enzymes into amino acids.

  • Then why am I a raw foodie? Well, I'm a whole foodie first because when I have to make everything myself I avoid all the processed foods with their preservatives and artificial additives. I go the extra step and eat raw because I know that a huge percentage of the vitamin content of food is lost upon cooking and using multi-vitamins is a sorry way of trying to compensate for that.

What I'm trying to say, I guess, don't be so harsh on docs!

  • Hmmm, the order of that got messed up.

  • hm... but doesn't cooking some foods like carrots make it easier for the body to absorb vitamins?

  • Sure, cooking helps break the cell down. So it depletes the vitamin content but makes what is left more available to you. So do you get a net increase in vitamin content with cooking? Don't know. I'm pretty sure, however, that juicing would be the best at getting into the cell without compromising its contents.

  • The Doctor says that proteins are destroyed in the intestine not broken down as he should have said - there is a subtle diferrence.

  • that's awesome that we have people like you entering the health care infrastructure, we sorely need truth in this area.

  • Juicing is your best bet period. I have a Greenstar Juicer and it is awesome. I juice wheat grass with it(amazing green) and it works very well.

  • Wow, I was gonna thumbs up your comment, then listened closer. Maybe the doctor has a point. While you're correct about his extremist statement, maybe he's correct about enzymes breaking down in2 amino acids. Tho still, that wouldn't negate a raw food diet necessarily cuz maybe cooking destroys the enzymes too early & it's natural for them to be transformed at the point the doctor talks about near the end of the clip. MayB only this way are they turned into what nourishes. C raw vscooked, compar

  • hahaha the doctor is so funny

  • "i think it's a little bit extremist..."

haha i agree, he is funny. aka uninformed.

  • What are the bad things that can happen in the first days or weeks of a 100% raw diet? Fainting?

  • so what? processed food is betteR? is that one some of you are trying to say here? cause that's just stupid

  • Tools and fire made man, Homo sapiens. Could we become a new kind of humanity with the 'new' 'human' raw food culture of eating? Any food can be bad for the body if over consumed, along with other lifestyle factors. Let your body direct you; beware of dietary philosophies that conflict with what the body desires to thrive. Balance. Performance. The raw food culture is about a new humanity, not going back to 'our roots' as Homo sapiens.

  • I am very healthy person too and I eat a balance diet doesn't have to be all raw

  • well put.

  • you are welcome everything with moderation is good raw and cooked.

  • exactly...it's a "trip" how this seems to be

an unknown... for the most part.

  • Wow that food looks so good! I became vegetarian 2 years ago, then recently vegan with high raw. I no longer have any need for my allergy pills or inhaler for my asthma. I don't suffer from allergies OR asthma anymore and I dropped a lot of weight too! Raw food is awesome!

  • Are eating raw foods good for allergy and asthma?I suffer from both conditions and have been thinking about trying the raw food diet.

  • yes they are great...many people have experienced benefits with their health after eating a diet mainly of raw food

  • my digitaltime...your remark is very biased....i am the healthest looking person I know........your shouldn't sterotype people.

  • by the way cooking does make carbs more available in plants but they are bad. you get caramelized cooked carbs that make you fat. there was an experiment where pigs were fed raw potatoes and cooked ones. the ones eating cooked potatoes got fat, the others didn't. cooked food is poison. anything raw is better. raw fats are fine. cooked fats are bad. cooked sugars/carbs bad. raw good. cooked protein coagulated and bad. raw plant protein = best and most bioavailable and usable protein.

  • that doctor doesn't seem very smart. what he said about enzymes and protein is wrong. enzymes aren't destroyed they are used in a chemical reaction. its not a well researched area. there is a book somebody wrote on the benefits of food enzymes but doctors dont care for books that sell raw food intstead of pills that get them to corporate dinners for selling drugs. doctors are the biggest druggo dealers of society. juliano said at least with the illegal drugs you get high

  • exactly what i was thinking. enzymes and amino acids aren't the same thing, and the small intestine doesn't "destroy" anything, it absorbs things. what a dumbass doc.

  • you obviously don't eat meat or bread or rice. that's the point RAW food. because cooked food is crap

  • not true when you cook tomatoes or carrots the hit activates the carroten and antioxidants of these vegetable. I thin raw food is really good but cooked food is good too, i think processed (preservatives, etc,) food is the bad one. All extreams are bad is better to have a balance

  • if you blend tomatoes you can absorb the lycopene just as well. cooking them may "liberate" some nutrients if you don't chew well or have poor digestion but cooking also makes food poisonous. there are well known carcinogens that are produced by cooking and you also loose valuable vitamin and mineral content. cooking = coagulation, caramalization and destruction. it severely alters the structure of molecules and creates heavy metals.

  • am i supposed to eat raw lentlis, potatoes, etc...? I think i better off eat raw and cooked

  • you can soak and sprout lentils to eat raw but potatoes are poisonous raw so you don't eat them raw but if you can't eat something raw its a good indication as to whether you should eat it at all. potatoes are bad its from the nightshade family and these foods can have adverse affects from certain alkaloids in them. on a raw diet you don't eat high starch foods like potatoes. the bulk of carbohydrates come from fruit which is the no 1 carb source for human consumption.

  • if you're not comfortable with eating 100 percent raw food try adding more raw food to your diet and having steamed vegetables preferably not potatoes though and try to avoid grains such as wheat or even altogether avoid any grain even rice.

  • rice is good for women when they are having their period ....I like raw food but cooked food is good too overcooked food is bad bad

  • errrghh, what about potatoes and rice? how do you guys eat it raw? meats? can we eat raw chicken? eggs? what about bread? or dough? do you eat it raw too?

    i don't get it.

  • LOL bullshit!

  • i know

  • no you don't know

  • If you say so...

  • yum

  • y is this doctor talking as if he knows aaall about the raw food diet? He dont know jack!! I wouldnt even call it a diet, cos eating raw is a way of life. U have 2 make it a way of life, 2 reep the benefit. doctors know nothin about nutrition. go 2 them with a problem, they start writing a prescription 4 meds b4 u've finished telling them whats wrong! I've only been about 50% raw so far (i'm gradually working myself up 2 70% then 90%) and i'm noticing the difference already..

  • i agree with you 110%another thing about doctors is that they get ill themselves eating cooked food and i can not trust my life with someone who doesnt know the benefits of raw, they have got all the degrees and stuff but its not keeping them healthy as would a raw diet , not all doctors will agree with this truth , unfortunately for them ,but their opposition should not stop us and keep us down , raw dietis the diet that human beings are meant to eat , wether we agree with it or not, stay raw

  • Extremist diet = anything different from the SAD Standard American Diet that keeps that doctor in business.

  • of course he's going to talk down the raw food diet, asian diet is known for cooking their food. stir fries in particular.

  • the proof is in the eating

  • mmmm all that food looks good! I'm going to have to go there, I'm not too far from H. Beach!

  • yeah, that doctor was a nerdy d-bag.

raw food makes me feel gooood

  • That "doctor" is seriously misinformed, which is very sad, but then again, he has to make a loving, and he won't have any customers..uhumm, I mean "patients" if he doesn't let them keep making themselves sick.

  • Doctor's know fuck all about Nutrition. Look up the video "Raw For 30 Days" on YouTube and you will find 6 people with Diabetes going on a Raw food diet and then after 30 days they no longer need their insulin and they are back to normal. One of the women in the group goes back to her doctor and he cant believe what has happened. Most Nutritionists don't adopt the Raw Food approach due misinformation for the meat and dairy industry.

  • Eating healthy is extremist. You will run me out of business and there will be an economic colapse ... don't be so extremist sheesh have a cheese puff.

  • It's sad we are living in a world full of such medical quackery

  • physicians are trained in the field of medicine, not nutrition. I've never once visited a doctor who has given me preventative advice or talked about my diet. I give nutritional advice to my friend mom, a doctor of 20+ years. So.... why was the doctor in the video?

  • I love how the know it all doctor tries to down play good healthy raw food. Maybe it is because we won't be sick and have to go visit so much.

  • When this 30 to 45 minute period is over, the bottom section of the stomach opens up and the body starts secreting acid and enzymes. Even at this point, the food enzymes are not inactivated until the acid level becomes prohibitive. You see, food enzymes can tolerate chemical environments many times more acid than neutral.

  • During the time the food sits in the upper section, little acid or enzymes are secreted by the body. The enzymes in the food itself go about digesting the food. The more of this self-digestion that occurs, the less work the body has to do later.

  • First of all, when you eat food, acid secretion is minimal for at least thirty minutes. As the food goes down the esophagus, it drops into the top portion of the stomach. This is called the cardiac section, since it's closer to the heart.

The rest of the stomach remains flat and closed while the cardiac section opens up to accommodate the food.

  • Lol, that doctor calling the raw food diet "extremist" is hilarious. And handing out dangerous and deadly drugs( which kill hundreds of thousands of people) like candy isn't extremist? Humans eating the way they have for thousands of years before fire was discovered isn't extremist. Lol, that doctor is VERY ignorant too.

  • Ah I wish this was longer...good vid tho

  • Listen to the "doctor" on this video, folks! Fresh fruits and vegetable are BAD for you!!!!

  • Yummy looking foods. I want to visit this place soon.

  • I ate here, WOW LOVED IT! ONE OF THE BEST you gotta try it!:)

  • Interesting punchline at the end...enzymes are all broken down into aminos in the stomach. While true, the natural enzymes occcuring in raw food provide the aminos to....break down the material, as opposed to the body. Tada!
