i like the english version better. it was sang by the R&B group All 4 One the group that sang the song I Swear. if you want to understand it just listen to the english one even though they're both completely different lyrics

I prefer the video's theme that the lady died to the lyrics that she just left him. The song has the feel and sound of an epic sort of tragic love.

It's not as big a deal with this version since I don't understand the words. But the English version particularly, has some really touching lyrics in the first half, and then ends up sounding kind of whiny toward the end.
