  • There's a restaurant in the dark like that in Montréal. Eating there is one hell of an experience. The waitresses and waiters are all blind so they know their stuff. It's really cool.

  • what i am wondering about is that looking this to be a graet chef means to cook a scallop or a wellington right which is like nto tell acarpenter to tell him how a nail should be handled the right way the other stuff kidney ,liver ,tongue that is the stuff that real professionell chefs really like to eat and are worried about to cook because it is so difficullt to handle them...so think about how many of this is scripted

How are they supposed to have good pallets when they are smoking cigarettes shortly before they should TASTE something? They're just killing their taste-buds, no wonder they screw up with tasting.

  • something doesnt add up, how come in the challenge the boys lost as soon as vinny got the 1st one wrong (the tuna) before jen could guess what it was. Cause if u think about it if Jen would have guessed incorrectly on all 3 of the final samples and vinny would have guessed the next 2 right, the challenge would have ended in a tie. Like Ramsay said before "2 to tie, 3 to win", so wtf went on there i'll never know. Anyone care to clear it up cause i have no clue lol x

  • I think the reason people can't handle certain foods is just because the expect it to be gross. If the guys thought they were eating "normal" meats it probably wouldn't have been so bad. Ramsay once said he cooked lamb's brains on toast for his kids, but only told them what it was afterwards so they can learn to eat foods like that.

    tongue is in fact quite an expensive ingredient here, and is a delicacy. Best way to enjoy is smoked tongue, used like cold cuts. Delicious. image search "fume dil"

  • bit sure if id call them a delicacy, but they def are not vomit inducing. I like tounge in burritos, as well as tripe. Sometimes just cooking tripe and eating ti with hot sauce is good as well. Chittlerings man!

  • @BarbG11 I think these people, especially the girls on this show, are far too spoiled. All that organ meat is perfectly good to eat. It looked gross as presented on that plate, but for instance I like to saute chicken livers in red wine (bourgogne) and onions. It is lovely.

  • @BarbG11 It's considered a delicacy in SE Asia. In Singapore it's very hard to get those, we often put them in stew or simply boil them in salt water. They're very good, considered tradtional dishes. Fish roe, pig offals are all normal.

  • @BarbG11 Yes.. there are actually some VERY delicious recipes from Germany (where im from) for theses types of food :D.. its still something for ppl with an "educated" pallet ;).. btw .. beef liver + salt and pepper.. nice panfry .. add some onions.. ready ^^ .. VERY tasty :)

  • @BarbG11 Hmm IDK, but here in Ticino, Switzerland, its one of our specialties... all you gotta do is do a veggie stock, once finisehd add the tongue and cook it.... Then you do a green sauce, olive oil, parsil and what ever herbs u like and serve it on top, D E L I C I O U S!!! I like it but its not something I would eat every day....

  • @BarbG11 there are loads of good recipe in Chinese in cooking these items for many years, usually boil in delicious beef bones soup , served with noodles or vegs.

  • For people commenting on the food and how it's common in some parts, you have to keep in mind that they aren't cooking it properly. It looks boiled, all of it, and the things you mentioned traditionaly aren't boiled as that tends to make most meats taste awful.

  • Okay i understand how the meats can taste gross when not prepared properly, but what's up with the grass jelly? It's the black lump in the middle of the plate at about 4:15 onwards.

    It's not meat, it's a jelly made from leaves and used in desserts; how can that taste bad enough to be a punishment???

  • I love the blind tasting challenges. Bonnie is one of the only contestants ever who used her head and guessed Ramsay primarily picks items from the HK menu. That's why she guessed langoustines rather than lobster.

    I've eaten every one of those things on the punishment platter. Tripe without sauce is bland and chewy, but not vomit-inducing.

  • Whatever they had, some of it is pretty common in Asia. I mean, trotters... (I'm assuming it's pig's trotters) tastes rather delicious (cooked, of course, if it's raw then that's another story). And grass jelly... That one's nice. :) Oh well.

  • Fucking hell, why do they always bitch about prepping both kitchens, I work at a restaurant 3 times the size of HK open for 12 hours, not two, with a 42 item menu and 4 people do all our prep in 3-5 hours.

  • hello i live in the united states and i just want to thank you for poasting these unsencored shows. your layout is great by me and personally i think sensorship is useless and america needs to wake up. please put season 4 up when you can. being stuck with beeps on every show apart from sesame street it is nice to watch real reality with words everyone uses weather they admit it or not. plus i just love this show anyway.

    Certain states crap is 20 dollars a plate at a buffet at restaurant while in others it's only five or six dollars.

  • BarbG, you can simply cook cow tongue in boiling water. Make sure that tongue is cooked fully (I personally don't know how long it takes because my mom used to cook it) when it is cooked completely, wrap it with plastic wrap and cool it down. Once it is cooled, u can slice it into thin pieces (about 5mm thin). It is most tender piece of meat you will ever taste. You can put those slices into any soup you are making. I recommand you to go to Korean restaurant that sells "Soon Dae" Soup.

  • actually cow's tongue is best tasting part of cow. (no joking, we koreans eat Cow tongue, intestine and many other parts americans don't eat. those parts only look nasty but they taste awesome)
