The 7 to11 year olds did this at my camp, and I was an Assistant Director for it. And, to be perfectly honest, the only thing this production did better (with this song, I don't know the rest) were the costumes. Also, we had a girl playing Oogie Boogie, but we kept the character a guy. A female Oogie Boogie is just weird to me. I'm sorry if I've offended you, I just wanted to be honest
@EveryDayALittleDeath: For costume/budget/casting purposes, it made sense to make Oogie Boogie a girl, and acknowledge that - we put her in an evening gown, and styled the character very differently than the movie. It was simply because of the cast we had, not because I had any desire to drastically alter the story. I'm glad to hear more places are performing Nightmare as a live show - we had a lot of fun!
