Amazing how much better those stills look without Lucas' wooden dialogue and "directing"....

I think he hella screwed up killing Maul in Ep I.

Shoulda had him survive, giving Obi-Wan something to cause him problems with anger/vengeance, that would in turn influence Anakin, forget about Count Doodoo, and have maul "unarm" Anakin and then have him beheaded in Ep III.

HELLA cooler character/villian, and better plot device.

I do think the sheer rate they get through new characters in the prequels says more about their need to sell merchandise than Lucas' narrative ability. It's a shame really, the prequels had the potential to be really good.
