Juan Moreira was an Argentine gaucho who died in 1874, really existed, the movie is 1973 and the Argentinean director Leonardo Favio, is a symbol of the Argentine gaucho rebellion against the injustices of the authority
That is what they are doing to the Romani today and it, unfortunately, is changing our people and it is going to bite the haters in the arse. Haters may whine and snivel about the anger WE show... they seem oblivious to the fact that THEY caused it and are continuing their actions.
I would like to see this movie. Is it available in America?
Thanks for your comment, that's true and not only for Eastern Europe, unfortunately. Yes as far as I know, it is also available in the United States under the name Juan Moreira, in case that you couldn't find it I could send you a copy, just tell me privately, it has English subtitles too. Sastipe, phrala!
It is even true in the States to a degree. Some of us become bitter and angry despite having it bloody good here. It is a fight sometimes to not get that way.
I have to fight at times to not have a chip on my shoulder from racism in America towards myself and our folki. If we are open about "what" we are, we have to have our heads about us to not let the dread disease of hate sneak in and we have to have a very thick skin.
I think about our folki in Europe and my mind boggles. If I have to fight it, what goes through THEIR minds? How can they avoid hate?
LEONARDO FAVIO ARGENTINIAN DIRECTOR: GENIUS¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡

It's true. We didn't open our pockets too willingly. Some people even dared to protest and fight. No wonder that Gypsies now feel distressed.

Yes, you are right, and I wonder myself, who cares?
