Saul Williams steps out onto the step of his primly maintained manufactured suburban home, He raises his cane and shakes his fist, "Damn you young people with your internet and your difference engines! Stay off my front lawn!". He retreats inside and the reverberations of the slamming door cause the weathered "Obama '08!" sign pinned to his front lawn to fall on its face.
glad you know about the remix he did with trent. With guess what song Hyperpower! he kinda horrible live, but it's in sync with what he did in recording
but i don't understand this. i don't get it- what do i have to do to get this kind of music. it is so far removed from amythyst rock star. i love the idea- but what it is now encapsulated in presently does not speak to what i am familiar with. ya'll help me overstand this brother
Yo, why the phuck won't we as brothas and sistas don't support this brotha. All I see is europeans in the crowd. BLACK PEOPLE, WAKE THE PHUCK UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUP!
my more fleshed out comment was too long so here's another, condensed version...
Love Saul Williams, but was annoyed with the:
Sound. The layers, and heavy base made Saul hard to hear. And it just didn't sound that great when he was screaming.
The Crowd. The audience seem to be bigger fans of the "Niggy Tardust" cd and want to place Saul WIlliams and his music into the hip/ hop category. He's not that hip hop and he's not really that metal. He's something more interesting.
Agreed. Just before Saul came out, it looked like Kidtronix was telling someone offstage to up the volume. I didn't like the screaming too well either but just because it makes me worry about his voice. I did get a pretty awesome picture of him yelling. I'll email you the link.
Saul's music is slightly unclassifiable but I suppose he sums it up best in "Niggy Tardust" when he says "ghetto gothic" or in an another interview "hard-core dance". Whatever it is, I LOVE it!
I lov it!! Hyperpower! Remix, it's off of the NIN year zero remixed album.

That's just like "Hyperpower" with him singing completely out of sync with it. That doesn't make any sense.

I like this song a lot (I think it is the best remix/cover on the album) but the sound quality on this recording makes it hard to watch.
