My phone does not make/receive calls/texts in 3G areas. My hometown just has just received 3G service and now it doesn't work at all. Anybody else have this problem? Sometimes (for less than a minute) it'll slip into Edge or G and work but mostly it won't. Does anybody know what to do? AT&T don't know shit.

I have this phone and I can't wait for the contract to expire in September. this is the worse phone I've ever owned - painfully sluggish when doing anything (flip from 10key to qwerty takes a few seconds, so does starting up the camera AND taking a pic), it pauses painfully whenever there's an incoming message and people I'm talking too and they hear the message alert and well as I can. THIS PHONE BLOWS!

This is a small question... but what about ringtones? can you create your own for text? Would you need to delete messages... my phone now wont let me receive any messages if it goes over the limited space (i got a tmobile gravity)

@MissSpeciallyMade you can use mp3, midi, and wav files for ringtones after you saved them into the ringtone directory (not the SD card) but if you want to use them as a message alert you'll need to go into the regedit and path it so it'll be recognized.

this phone really sucks and i couldnt wait ot get a new phone...i thought it was so cool when i got it but it is really a piece of crap. So i wouldnt reomend it. the only thing it is goood for is emailing which i didnt do at all. But now i have the lg xenon and my mom has the pantech impact which are both pretty awesome phones and we both love them

nevermind i found a way to delete all that's not deleting them all 1 by 1!

Go to the inbox. Click Menu, then Folders. Before clicking a folder to go to, while the inbox folder is just highlighted, click menu, then delete all. now you can scroll to sent, or outbox, or drafts or deleted items and do the same and your folders will be cleaned out!

I have this phone and I can't get it to even delete one message at a time. You say you can delete them all one at a time while watching tv, but i can't even get mine to do THAT! whenever I delete a message, then I'll turn off my phone and turn it back on and the messages are BACK! they don't go away. Do you have any suggestions?

hey i found away to delete all messages at once! okay go to messages click messages and you click menu go to tools and it should say " empty deleted items" and there you go!

there are TONS of covers out there...just go to ebay...any color, design, or theme u want.... my pantech duos battery lasts 2 days without charging && i talk and text all the time.... SO WORTH THE MONEY!!!...PLEASE GET THE FACTS STRAIGHT!!!...GREAT PHONE!!!

hey... just to let u know... i just bought the pantech duo && i paid $150 for it...the blackjack 2 is the same price with a new 2 yr contract... but both are $50 after a mail in rebate....on the other hand a blackberry bold is $400, $300 after mail in rebate... the blackberry curve is $250, $150 after mail in rebate...so the pantech duo is actually a GREAT price for all the features

I feel strange seeking a Pantech Duo review from a younger person, but am amazed at how technology is these days - how quickly technology can pass you by, without you even knowing. I have a really old phone that I am wasting money on, simply because I haven't upgraded it to current standards. From watching your review of the Pantech Duo, I now have a better understanding of what current phones and wireless plans, and how these tools can make my life easier. okay, i just got this phone, and actually, you can delete all the texts at one time..you just have to click the menu on the side and click select, and then tdo select all read, unread, all, whatever. then delete.

well i looked at the matrix in sams today so i can look at the matrix. i always wanted it until i saw it. you can litterlly have both qwerty keyboard and the numeric pad showed on the phone. it looked to fake to me. but im desiding either the tilt or duo. hope this helps

I've had this phone for about a year and I mean, it's held up and I do like it but there are things that could be better. The camera is 1.3 but still looks kind of crappy compared to other phones of the same pixels. Also when you clear out the message inbox, it tends to freeze up and you have to wait a long time, unless there arent many messages then it's fine but it holds quite a bit so I always forget. U can't silence the shutter unless the whole phone is silet and u can't assign text tone.

The phone also can never go completly on silent, it will vibrate or ring always. For reason the phone will tell me I have service when I don't and then I get really annoyed when my messages won't send cause you have to go through a process to get to your drafts : \

so, decent phone, I like a lot of things about it, but the things that aren't so great are enough to make me anxious for my upgrade in March when I'll probably get the Samsung Eternity

no i got it to be on completely silent, just have it on silent then on the alerts just have "play sound" because its playing...silence.. aaaand, to the screamer guy, you can select all then do delete.

When you say their isn't a case that you can still use both keyboards, you are wrong. Their are cases, but they aren't the best ones out their. They are plastic and sometimes have fun little prints on them

check ur prices on the att website...u didnt get a deal...the duo is 99.99 with the 2 year plan and mail-in rebate while the blackberry pearl 8110 is 129.99 and the blackberry pearl 8120 is 199.99 with the mail in rebate and 2 yr plan. The Pantech duo is actually currently the cheapest att smartphone on the market...i liv in NJ so i dont kno if it is different in other states...plz comment back

So, I think pricing changes depending on where you live.

actually u can delete txt messages easier than tht..u just go to start, messaging, messages, menu, folders, choose the desired messaging floder u would like to delete (e.g inbox), press menu, nd u can choose from different options (delete all, delete all read,nd shit like tht) to delete the messages..instead of having to delete each message one by one..sounds confusing but really easy

go on ebay and there is this one company called cellcase4u and they have different color cases and you can use the phone with the case on it and everything.

That's true, a lot of times you need to get a data plan to buy a blackberry at a low price but my mom was able to get a pearl for $70 from costco without the need for a data plan.

But I agree, a lot of times you need a data plan to the rebate.
