  • I'm usually not a fan of drumming like this but you have showed me otherwise those pads actually sound quite nice

  • nice man!

  • Hey does anyone know what the difference b/t a danmar click pad and ann evans bass patch is??? i guess danmar cuts through much more but i was wondering how much more.

  • Minus the singer sounding like a bull frog having an orgasam... the music sounds bad ass. And dude!!!! Nice sixlets on the bass!!!

  • What do you have your tension set to?

  • buh ro...thats some quick drumming

  • Amazing tunning overall :P

pretty technique too, i can say that cause i play grind too...

may that pad damage my IC beaters?

    5/5

  • Probably not, but I would go for beaters that have hard plastic, like axis, or dw's sound great too on the back side.

  • hey man I really like the ring on your snare but can you please tell me if you even have the snares on thanks

  • Yeah at that time i was using evans g2 head and i had the top and bottom tuned really tight and the snares were on. I'm using a tama artwood custom maple 5.5x14

  • You deserve a bigger drumkit with that skill!

  • kinda looks like you were going for a Matt Greiner set up

  • so do click pads cut through the mix just as good as triggers?? (i hate triggers)

  • yeah it cuts through good, but triggers are something that you can control the volume, with these you can't.

  • Invest in triggers rather than those shitty metal plates. They snap your beaters after a while (if you actually play like a real drummer and hit your bass drum hard).

  • dude im diggin how your bass drum and snare sound, can u make a vid on how to tune them like that??

  • @arniex1 i second that

  • it sounds so sick his drums

  • yes it will kind of dull your rebound a little bit. it sounds cool, don't use for recording but live it sounds sweet.

  • good technique on your blast beats and gravity blast. I don't know why your click pads sounded so good. When I got mine they sounded like beating two hammers against each other

  • Your a great drummer man. :]

    Keep up the good work.

Check out the band I drum fors cover of BloodSplattered Satisfaction on my page. :]

  • so u have hard beaters?? i bought these and have soft iron cobra beaters and they sound nowhere near as clicky as this

  • i was using the plastic axis beaters in this video with a danmar click pad.

  • Amazing o_O How long have you been practising to get on that level?

  • ive been playing a little over 6 years.

  • Super! What you type and brand China? Size 18 "? Thanks for the reply :)

  • zildjian 18 A custom. i dont use that anymore though

  • :) nice video title, haha. we should record a vid of you soon and send it in to one of those sickdrummer blastoffs...

  • nice gravity blast!

  • I boght a danmar double metal click pad not too long ago and it sounds like a dreamif you want a triggered sound make your bass drum as dead as it can get (THICK quilts, Blankets ETC.) and then apply the danmar double click check out my videos to see what im talkin about

  • hey i hear that he danmar click pads come off easy i use gibralter clicks and they work pretty good not as clicky as danmar but any ways wanted to know if they are worth the extra bucks

  • never used the gibralter ones. but the danmar are decent. like i said before i just peeled off the adhesive on the back of the metal and just used duct tape. works pretty good, and you can take it on and off. i never use that thing anymore though, it takes away the feel of the drum.

  • yeah the gibraltar ones are fine for a higher attack level but with less clickyness and yeah your right about it taking away the feel of the drum

  • i use the gibraltar click pad and it works very well. it's not too "clicky" sounding but it still raises the attack level

  • in my opinion thats what fucking drumming is!

  • i actually just put two quarters on my bass drum

  • Click pads are the metal bass drum patches righ?

    Thanks

  • yep

  • so how do you put those on with duct tape? do you just tape them on the sides?

  • i peeled off the adhesive on the click pad, and yeah i just basically put tape around the edges so it stays on well.

  • do you have a mic on that bass? or is that just raw? just like nothing but the kick pads?

  • its just a click pad. no mics.

  • zlydium its people like you that piss me off, looking for shit to bitch about

  • if you write "blasting around" then blast around and cut all those lame fills. It's only confusing and doesn't even sound good

  • ok..well im sincerly sorry and i want to appalogize to you for the inconvenience you had watching this video.

  • Thos gravity blasts are fucking sick...

  • Did you leave Sikfuk?

  • well we had differences and ill leave it at that.

  • Thats sucks.. I want you in Sikfuk!

  • haha, not gonna happen. plus he has a better drummer right now anyways.

  • I like how you use your left hand for the hi hat (since it's on the left). Many people cross their arms like retards.

  • I blast with my left hand on the hi hat but i cross for other beats. It's just how i learned. and also i use my right hand for cymbals on the right too so it's easier when you do that

  • This is by far the best blast beating I've seen yet.

You should work on mixing it up now.

  • ok thanks man that helps a lot. the only idea i had was just buy an extra head and alternate them but that would be too much work so thanks man. keep up the good work bra.

  • yo im gettin the danmar metal impact pads soon.. the sound sick.. you recomend them yo?

  • well for live shows and band practice they're nice, and sound amazing live. but not for recording or actually trying to practice. because you dont get a real feel for the drum and you get less recoil from the drum. so for live gigs i highly recommend them, otherwise no.

  • ok thanks man. are they a bitch to take off and stuff cause i could rele use them for band practice cause my guitarist has no ears so he fuckin blasts his half stack

  • well what you could do, like i did, is that you can peel the adhesive pad off that back of the click pad, and you can just use duct tape to tape it on. im always taking it on and off my bass drum. i also have a remo double kick patch on my drum for extra durability. and that will do the trick.

  • holy shit u scare me dude lol your fucking sick keep u tha good work dude

  • what kinda china is that? zxt?

  • zildjian A custom 18"

  • 別格

  • Absolute sickness.

  • Just.. Really nice!! I just love that video.. :D But, im wondering how u can play 23-33.. How you can play so fast with your snare hand??

  • Gavity blast

  • Dammnnnnnnn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • DAMN MAN UR SICK... GO VISIT A DOCTOR!

  • GOD THIS IS SICK

  • did you change your beaters also besides using that clik pad?if not are you using the plastic side or the felt side of the beaters to get that sound?

  • on this video i am using the beaters that come with the axis x longboards. but right now i use the DW beaters, they get a better sound i think.

  • holy shit :23-:35 is sssssssoooooooooo sick

  • axis pedals?

  • yes in all of my videos. but i will have a new one up soon with my new pearl eliminators. yes thats right..eliminators. i like them waay better than axis.

  • what kind of china are you using?

    Thanks alot -DJ

  • i use an 18" zildjian A custom.

  • It looks as though its easier to get more bounce/strength off the bounce out of a hard hit off acoustic skins that keeps up a steady blast or gravity blast apposed to electric pads, i find when i switch over to my friends acoustic set from my electric set its harder to get a stable/harder hit, is this a common problem? i want to play BM style blasting and give it a steady feeling.

  • yeah man, i havent played a whole lot on electric sets. but when i have, i get a lot of rebound and what not. its a little different switching from that to acoustic.

  • #1 Gravity blasts fucking insane, #2 click pad makes it sound fucking brutal heavy fuckin metal

  • epic

  • I like the sound of your bass and snare.

    Nice blasts.

  • thats hella sick man just one thing i dont really like the sound of your snare i dont know if you just cant hear the snare part from the camera but it sounds like a horrible tom hahah but the bass makes up for it

  • yeah i dont use that snare anymore. i just couldnt get the right sound out of it. i have it sounding really good with certain heads, but in this video i didnt have a good head on it. the snare is a maple, so its gonna sound more warm. but now i use a pearl piccolo. never going back to anything else, for some time at least.

  • ya we had a pearl piccolo metal one sounded real nice cuz it was nice and tight but some times when its tight you cant get the snare through it all but it sounded nice good choice and can i ask you one other thing what head for bass are you using im going to buy a new one soon but im torn between the impact2 by aquarian or the emad 2 by evans what do you think

  • well i use emad. so i would go with that. but ive played on a aquarian before and it was pretty nice. i also use the danmar metal click pad to get it sounding clicky like that.

  • ok cool ya i think ill go with the evans and a danmar pad thanks

  • are you using felt or wooden bass beaters in this vid?

  • whatever the axix beaters are..either hard plastic or wood. im not sure what they are made out of haha.

  • due you can blst like a mother fucker!

    amazing.

im buying the click pads today.

    i love the clickyness

  • what kind of kit/cymbals do you use?

  • mapex 5 piece v series. almost all A custom zildjain, and meinl hats and ride.

  • what is it with gravity blasts some new fucking word?

id say it was a one handed snareroll guess im an idiot though

  • it doesnt matter what you call it, but everyone has been using the term gravity blast.

  • gravity blasts i'm guessing, starting at :23. Is that just a controlled, one-handed roll? Sounds awesome.

  • yeah man, its just a one handed roll.

  • daaaaaammmmmm bro, tight shit

  • Damn that is good.

  • What happened to the other videos of you blasting?

  • i deleted some other videos, cause im gonna put up some better more up to date shit soon. so hey i might even make one today.

  • You sir, are the shit...

  • thats awesome

  • Great technique. The gravity blasts are very sick sounding. Great job man.

  • Also to get a clicky ass sound, Use wood/plastic beaters, but duct tape a sheet of metal from a utility socket. its just a square thing thats like 4inchx4inch. yet another Useless way. but worth a try if you bored.

  • you can get the same click sound using a plastic or wooden beater, duct tape and a 2p coin.

  • blast beats at such a young age....what are you fucking gene hoglan or something??

  • You, Are the fucking man! How old are you? When did you start?

  • im 19, i started when i was 15 i believe.

  • Fuck! I started 7months ago, I'm 14, I fucking worship you, How much do you practice?

  • hmm sometimes ill go days without practicing. but whenever i do go out to play, i play for usually hours at a time.

  • mean man. you're a real tight drummer.

what brand is your china? it sounds mean as

it looks like a sabian? aax or something

    good shit

  • thanks dude. naw its actually a zildjian A custom china. i use almost all A customs on my set. great sounding cymbals.

  • oh mean.

yeah ive gota 12'' A custom splash it's the bomb.

    peace.

  • nice! keep going

  • how do you roll so fast with one hand on your snare? any suggestions

  • ehh..its kinda hard to explain. i would just watch some videos on here teaching you how to get the basics down. then you can build your speed from there. just type in 'gravity blast'. supp

  • Very nice. Like the setup alot. I cant paly on many peoples sets. Because every drummer is different to fit their comfort level

  • yeah i hate playing on other peoples sets. its really umcomfortable.

  • Yeah. But your set is almost identical to mine. lol. I just dont have the shit on my hi hat. lol.

  • Can you not do double bass as good or as consistent on other sets.

  • nice doble bass control

  • u really know what to do , dude ! the music kicks ass , absolutely amazing the teabag album !!!!! i love to listen to it when people listen to also hehe

  • i dont think that any technique is better than one, but i just picked up on the swivel technique pretty fast. it feels really comfortable with me.

  • How long did it take you to learn the swivel tecnique

  • i want the clicky thing give it to me

  • just use Quarters with plastic beaters, simply, duct tape the quarters to the head of your bass drum, and line them up with the beater, and hit, click away, super clicky. but dont hit redicously hard.

  • holy shit you are a geenuios !!! thank you i owe you one

  • that always breaks thru my heads haha

    danmar plates ftw

  • you got skills man

  • i just bought the gibraltar double click pad. its alright but i dont think it sounds as good as this one.

  • wow

  • where can i get one of these click pads?

  • search it online. or you can get them at guitar center too. suppp

  • which specific click pads at guitar center do I get and can you give me a tip how to get fast consistent double bass. I tried this one teqnique but it didn't work.

  • they are called danmar double click pads. umm i kind of do the swivel foot technique, i cant do it nearly as fast as kollias from nile, but it still holds up ok.

  • what do you mean kinda swivel do you do the nervous/ankle motion with a little swivel I can't seem to do that tecnique without putting my beaters really close to the drum head. How do you get power without having to strain?

  • i dont know haha. i dont really do it very well. i can just feel my feet start to pivot around when i start to go a little faster. i cant explain shit, i suck at it sorry.

  • Well don't take this the wrong way but do you not think about what your doing you just play and not worry what tecnique your doing right or wrong. Also I'm sure can explain to me what ring on your fingers your sticks are on for blast beats and I mean the rings you see near the tip of your fingers and near the palm.

  • "self teach". i dont know terms, i dont know whats right and whats wrong, i hold my sticks on the top ring on my pointer fingers and the rest of the stick just rests in my lower fingers near my palm, i have 3 dogs, one brother, i can suck air in through my asshole and fart. haha

  • Ok fine I deserved that...

  • I've tried the nervous tapping tecnique for fast double bass but it dosen't really help, which double bass teqnique do you think is the most effective and quickest to get the hang of?

  • dude, that was incredibly entertaining, probably the funnest drum solo ever seen. Sikfuk fan from Vancouver, keep the br00tality dude, SikfUK supp

  • you're one brutal motherfucker tardsnake suppp

  • How the hell do you achieve that super blast, please teach me! im in a band and i get to triplets but not that

  • Love it. And i like the sound of the snare. Keep grinding!

  • paiste china and zildjian/meinl bell?

  • naw its a zildjian A custom china, and a zillbell. But my ride and hats are Meinl.

  • I wish I had that click pedal I hear that kind of sound in Waco Jesus. My click pedal sucks no clicking whatsoever.

  • Dude, seriously. This is THE shit. You're my freakin' god now. damn.

  • Simply Immense. Great work! Keep on rotting!!

  • how do u get your bass to sound so clicky? lol doesnt sound like that your using a drum just a plastic panel haha

  • its called a danmar double metal click pad. i use it instead of using triggers. i dont want to deal with triggers so i use the pad. i think im a lot faster without using that, but i use it for a more punchy sound at shows and shit. i like it. supp

  • amazing. sick shit.

  • That is fuckin tight, those blasts sound so clean. That deserves a big SUPP

  • nice!

  • hell yeah good shit good duck walk ( left blast)

  • shit jake... throughout half the god damn video you can barely see the damn drumsticks

  • Killer man... This is mitch from Diavolo.. those gravity blast own...

  • Killer stuff.

  • hey bro nice gravity blast!!! im a drummer too, not as skilled like U, but i hope soon i culd reach that spot, can U give me some tips for the gravity blast???

  • thanks bro! umm its kinda hard to give tips..if i were you, i would just watch a bunch of gravity blasting videos on here. they are pretty helpful i would say. im really bad on giving tips sorry..

  • Im a drummer and a guitarist. I must say ur the best retarded drummer in the world.

  • Awesome!

  • slick sound on that vid!

    Nice drummin, supp

  • \m/ nice drumming

  • Nice blasts, bro.

    -Ryan / DISLIMB

  • You fucking rule, man. Sick drumming!

  • thanks bro!
