A tough one for the goalie. Still should of had it though. Maybe he should have come out and blocked it with his body like a short stop in baseball rather than just make a lazy stab at with his stick at the last second.
Guys its normal if he scored i am not surprised of that goal i know how the goalie feel's but he may think that he's not the only one who did that mistake ;D
Perhaps he didn't see the reflection on his team mate. It seems as if he was ready to save the origional shot; however, the second accidental touch which was problably to small to notice through him off. Take a look at 0:48
The goalie was dumb for not putting his body in front of the puck. I know it's hard not knowing if the puck's going to bounce to the left or right. But trying to stop it with your blocker? Psh....
@Tanamden ok 1.) He probly never saw the guy shoot it. 2.) Everyone was at the other end so he was probly like"OMGWTF!" when he realized it was 5 ft in front of him. and 3.) like said so many times already.... it was bouncing lol
a goalie is really on hs toes when the pucks that far away i bet he hardly knew the puck was coming before it was like 15 feet away from him and he lanuched that so it was going fast plus what pittsburg says it bounces around on the ice there might have been a kink in the ice that redirected it also
distant is measured when the last time the puck was touched!, i don't think it was from the other end, but still hell of a goal!, its just not really long cus the guy who was next to the goally touched and he was on the same team as the shooter!,
i honestly think the goaly didn't have a chance stopping it, nice try though, trying to stop a bouncig puck, let me remind you a puck is flay, not round. Any way, nice vid :-)
Looks like it would be easy to save, but it all happens so fast. Slow-mo, you're thinking why doesn't the keeper just cover up his right post, but with the change in direction, the speed, and the bounce, i'd say it would be very difficult to save. Very good, but very lucky goal.
I'm a goalie, and sometimes those long shots were tough because they would skip off bumps in the ice at the last minute, also if the puck went above the boards it would have a black background and be hard to spot when it was traveling fast.
@pittsburgfan1 and not to mention everyone is at the other end so he would never expect it to just be coming at him and he prolly never saw the guy shoot it
Well that was a tough one but as a goalie the shot should've been stopped by putting the whole body on the line rather than just trying to catch it with the blocker. Shows that it's always good to shoot tho'!
@hitlerhater50 You do know where the football is going to go if it comes straight at you, even if it hits someone, it's still much bigger than a puck so it's easier to catch the ball than a puck
my hockey team last sature day is 1 man down and the other team passes it to the defence the defence misses it goes all the way down the ice and the goalie misses it!!! there golie sucks tho and no one knew it because we were in the middle of a line change then we lined up in the center and my hole team is like what the heck happened

its not that it was easy to block or not or how many bounces it took, the only reason the puck went in is cause goaly was being complacent.
