"Gene Vincent was a musician decades ahead of his peers. It was Gene Vincent who first donned the all black leather stage gear that's since become a punk rock and heavy metal hallmark".
Incredible innovative Cilff Gallup solos here like the pulloffs at breakneck speed and he uses both major pentatonic and minor pentatonic scales within the same solo. The second solo show Cliff, again, immense creative innovations for rock-a-billy music - here dissonant double-stops. No wonder Albert Lee, Jeff Beck, Jimmy Page et al called him a 'killer'.
My God, is this guy cool, or what? Gene was one of my hero's along with Eddie Cochran and Buddy Holly when I was growing up in England. Some of the best music that was ever laid down on vynal.
