Ok- I came for the song and found a mystery- OK a 2:04 a dog appears at treys feet--then disappears off front stage at 2:08 again--but then just before biginning- REAPPEARS from under a speaker @2:16 like a junkyard dog-- MY FAVORITE(Its in the timing) I SAW YOU !
Big Red played a Kramer guitar in the begining.I was at the ranch that day..I dont think Paul was building axes back then...still remember that day like it was yesterday us oldtimers rule!
its a TIME guitar. languedoc worked for the burlington guitar company until it burned down in 88 or 89.. some of trey other older guitars include an white ibanez musician(i think thats whats its called) i do think he did play this time guitar on junta for a few tracks.. maybe this one(golgi)!
I don't think Languedoc would have made that, it's a solid body with strat type electronics I think, and locking tuners. I think this is maybe an Ibanez or something like that half strat knockoff.
I went to high school in the same town where this video was made at the this hippy school called Gailer. In 10th grade biology we had to do presentations on cell structure. I got to golgi with my friend ben and when the day came we I read a couple paragraphs about golgi apparatus, threw on the junta version of this song, sat back and made our class listen to the whole thing. Half way through we thought to ourselves "what the hell are we doing?" to our surprise we got an A :)
yup if this is 87 i was 2.....booo... sux right? i could have still seen stevie ray vaughn too in my life time...but would have never known what i saw....im so i happy i saw them during their reunion it tour and their 09 tour.............FESTIVAL 8........HERE I COME.....lucky me its only 2 1/2 hrs from me : )
This is really lovely footage. I am assuming the video and audio were synced from different sources, since the audio is relatively clear unclipped sound. Anyway, put up more technical info about this particular clip. Wonderful footage, thank you.
im a big phan of '93-'96, it was just pure psychedelic intensity every year. however i could just as easily say my favorite era is '84-'00, '03-'04, and '09-?. :) i just love it all. see you this summer
When I was in highschool, I had a few older friends who would force me to listen to Phish. They did the follow them around selling PB&J thing for a couple of years...till they broke up. I never really got into them. This was one of the first songs I remember listening to. This, and Divided Sky. Now, I have a new found admiration for their talent and abilities. In short, I'm becoming a phan.
even thur the pixelation, i can still see Trey looks like a 22 year old 80's nerd. ROFL! Classic. Wish i was there. Cuz I'm sure the audio was better in person. :)
Actually that is a Time guitar which was a guitar company that their sound guy, paul languedoc worked for which eventually went under & paul began making guitars alone. The Ibanez was before this & it was white with humbuckers
Remember kids, eat your scales with every meal. but if you want to be this good you need to eal all the scales you can possibly fit into your brain, constantly.

It was made by a VT company called Time Guitars, Paul Languadoc worked for them at this time and that is how Trey became friends with Paul.
