Of all their albums, Release is the best. It's a deep album, there are plenty of playable songs. Interscope has a tendency to make their songs disappear from YouTube, so enjoy it while it lasts.
Red Expendables were pretty lousy...Tod Ashely was the driving force behind Cop Shoot Cop and Firewater. Although, the first Firewater album (1996's Get Off The Cross, We Need The Wood For The Fire) is considered somewhat of a SUPERGROUP album (with members from Jesus Lizard, Coughing Souls, Balkan Beat Box ect). Still, all the other members from the original band pretty much kept a low profile ever since Cop Shoot Cop split in 95'.
Cop Shoot Cop was a great unit operating in the out skirts of the 80's till the mid 90's. Together with Helmet, Jesus Lizard, Shellac and Surgery those guys made some of the best music you could've found in those days.
They sold no records. made 4 albums in 3 years and just like that - GONE.
Not quite, the Red Expendables made an album afterwards. (C$C without Tod A. and Tod A started up Firewater, which keeps a lot of his attitude towards the world. ) Each of the original musicians now works on their own solo material. Firewater is the only one that I consider worth my time though.
