I'm an engine designer, you need some silencing or else it sounds hard edged and harsh as it does here. I like the mellow V8 burble noise. To get this- try to target out (attenuate) the high frequency content of the exhaust and leave the low frequency pretty much alone. I would try this by using straight through silencing with some wadding. The triple or double pass silencing or expasion boxes or even lots of perfs within a silencer (muffler) target LOWER frequencies....
What size exhaust pipe do you have on it. I have an 08 silverado, and right now I have a 6 inch diesel pickup exhaust pipe put on, instead of the stock exhaist pipe. It sounds good, but I am thinking of puttin dual stacks in the bed of the truck.. I was wondering if smaller width stacks would make it louder, over wider 6 inch stacks?

This video was taken inside an enclosed garage... I am quite sure the tone will be different outside when it isn't bouncing and echoing off of the wall's.. Straight pipes rams do have a nicesharp crackle to them when straight piped...

i agree with dirtbikesforlife, the dodges do lose a lot of performances throught their tranny,, That is why the 381 hp 401 lbsft, 6 speed, 5800 lbs tundra beats the 390 hp 407 lbsft, 5 speed, 5600 lbs RAM Hemi in a drag race, ( with or without load) Put a good 6 speed tranny in the Ram, and it would beat the thundra 5.7 and the silverado 6.2 in drag race
ya its just cat back straight pipe...i took it to a muffler shop and he took the old muffler out and replaced it with pipe but never made a bracket to go from the endpoint of where the muffler was and it ended up cracking right at the back of the cat...if u do this make sure you get that done....within the next week or so I should have a better action video..
