@MeSoHornyMeSoStupid Most definitely. I think of it like this. This is going to be my P bass. I'm going to throw some real P bass pickups in it at some point. It'll cost about 150 plus 50 to install that puts the total cost at 450. That's over a hundred dollars less than a mexican fender, and it's gonna sound awesome. Cons of this bass: gnarly neck dive. is the one you're gettin in red or black? I say get it either way.
@MeSoHornyMeSoStupid well it comes with p bass pickups in it, what I meant was I'll throw some seymour duncan quarter pounders in it. Then toss in a pickup selector switch and use the spare knob spot for midtone control. but that's way down the road. Anyways, it's a solid bass like I said the one con is the neck dive. but it sounds huge, definitely a rumbler.
@FuckTechno66 the beast is more versatile, the beast is slightly sexier, but the razorback SCREAMS with distortion. If you watch some of my distorted stuff you'll see what I mean. Clean the beast can get all the tones the razorback can get and more, but nothing compares to the razorback distorted. Hope that helps.
i have been looking at bc for a wile right now im on the fence with the widow and virgin nt but besides that my main question is are the bc basses worth getting?
@southparkfan1999 Like I said, the bc rich basses, like my razorback and others, lack the midtone knob, meaning they lack versatility. It's a flat sound. If you are doing rock that's great, this instrument has lots of bass so I can do metal with it, but it's not an incredible or unique tone. I found my beast for 200, so I couldn't pass that up. But they are definitely not worth more than 500-600 dollars.
@southparkfan1999 but the crowd digs it, and this bass is the background of my phone because I love staring at it. bc rich basses are art. It looks like the virgin has some tone options, so that would be a good bet.
@southparkfan1999 Hey so I've been playing with this bass more and more. I love the tone, it is as versatile as you can make it. Can get slappy, funky, rock (killer), metal (pretty good), jazzy even. I love this bass, super smooth sound. It sounds like a bass is supposed to sound like.
