@kingdebo1017 mouthpieces don't mean too much if u have good tone. but the depth of the cup can make a difference. it depends on what u want. most common is a shilke 69c4

Why does this sound good to you guys? Yeah they can blast but thats it? Where's the musicianship? Where's the technique? I'd really like to see them try to join a corps or be PROFESSIONAL musicians they won't make anything when all they do is blast quarter and eighth notes at 120 bpm

@falloutboy7778 @falloutboy7778 You know, I used to have the same opinion about show style of performance until I attended FAMU and witnessed several tuba players display virtuosic technique on "Flight of the Bumble Bee", the baritone solo from "The Melody Shop", and such. I don't necessarily prefer the tone, however, one shouldn't rush to judgement that they can't play anything more than these fanfares as they attend high schools where the concert programs are top notch...IJS.

@gowbass Well i wasn't necessarily making an assumption about the players themselves more as the people commenting about this. They all say they're the best or what not and that they could make college, but every tuba player i know that has gone to college doesn't do that.
