I am also "mourning" Ketinoa's video since YouTube killed them, especially the Vaganova Academy class that I used to watch over and over. But I just discovered your channel and you do such a good job. Thanks a lot for this video. The first ballet I ever saw on TV as a little girl was with Mezentseva. She's perfect.

This is marvelous. Mezentseva is a wonder to watch. I actually took a class that she taught years ago, and it was one of the most challenging -- and rewarding -- experiences I've had in a class.

Where did you take the class and approximately what year?

Oh, gosh -- it was years ago now. Eight or ten years ago? She came to visit the company I was dancing with in Texas (just a small local company; she was doing a special guest performance and offered to teach us a class beforehand). I remember that she was extremely tough on us, pushing us to work harder and harder. But then at the very end, she looked at us, smiled, and said, "You are all beautiful."
