It is not responsive as 7, but it is no so bad.

If you do not install crap and do not watch porn every time, you should no be worried with vista or even XP.

get a good free antivirus and firewall, disable useless stuff and you should be ok.

I just want my computer to be rock stable. I don t need it to be decorative and i don t want to pay thousand of dollars for it because it is written Steve J0bz on the box.

I m running on an old 2003 Asus PC-DL motherboard, dual Xeons 3.2ghz, 2GB DDR and a GForceFX 5200 AGP :).

I m using Debian as desktop OS.Never bothered with trojans or viruses, and the system is damn fast for such a fossil computer :).It never crashed in 2 years.

If i buy a mac, it will be a Mini PPC G4. for the fun.

Not so much, because i bought those parts 2-3 years ago and it was already quite old and cheap.

It was 150$ for the MB, the RAM and the 2 Xeons. i bough the Geforce for 5$ lol.

before that, i had a dual Pentium 3 1.0 Ghz, 1.5 GB SDRAM PC133 on a Tyan Tomcat motherboard and Geforce MX 2 'D.

Both PC and MAC have their pros and cons.

Mac is easier to use for those who are not interested to learn how a computer works.Mac is better for musicians or specific graphic application, then, Mac are not so much affected by viruses, spywares, etc.

As long there is no hardware failures, Mac are good computer.

But on the other side, PC are more opens, more applications, easier to upgrade or repair.If you are worried about viruses and trojans, you can still install Linux distros if you dont play.

When I had the pc it tooks 4-5 minutes to start it, with my mac just one minute and it's ready for working! Also I can't take virus (I don't worry no more shit that can break my sofware) the computer is thinner, the screen is better, I would never come back to a fucking pc!

In the endless discussion "Windows vs Mac" it all comes down to opinions. We all have different views on what makes a good computer or OS - and unless someone comes up with a better argument - and I mean something else than "illiterate" or "retard", I have said my part in this "discussion".

@ciadude2 A support center is not just for technical problems (or maybe it is in the PC world) but for general user-questions. Also, compared to the PC, the mac requires a minimum of maintenance (security issues, installing drivers and software - and removing it as well.)

I use the mac mainly for graphic apps (Photoshop, etc) and find it superior to the PC - but if you´re happy with Windows, great!

@ciadude2 The reason mac users don´t have to learn about computers, is that the mac works. A pc user have to know about computers because there is always something that needs to be fixed in a pc. As a mac user, I don´t have to spend my time with my head inside a pc cabinet, and would not trade in my mac for a pc if I got paid for it. A mac is expensive, but fast, stable and gorgeous! It depends on so many factors with PC. There is no good reason to get a Mac. For specialist software for vid editing KDENLive is open source and for Linux. I also know that there is an open source equivalent of Celemony Melodyne for Linux, so yeah.
