@Kaipeternicolas - thank you. There's been a tremendous response to the Remus Race setup - at the dyno and at car meets, people say the same thing. The n55 motor with a catless dp and this exhaust, it's just perfect. Thank you so much for the compliment.
@madmanhiker You're welcome. I used to have an E60 M5 with Dinan exhaust, which was nice, but mainly cause of the great V10. Now I want to get the new 335i M sport in the summer and hope to find a good exhaust for myself. I am not a big fan of a quad exhaust on an 335 cause it seems like you pretend to have an M3 but this quad exhaust is worth those comments. It sounds really good. How much HP does yours have now?
@Kaipeternicolas - lol. I am knocking on 400 rwhp and produce 480 tq. I do not have any issues taking on M3's. Everyone knows that a tuned 335 is quick, especially since the methanol injection. I'm pushing 18psi boost now in this single turbo. -nuff said.
@madmanhiker That is pretty amazing. Ya I don't have this M3 wannabe opinion but I have heard it before. But your rear looks amazing. I also love the Carbon Fiber Diffusor. I am not familiar with that methanol stuff. Where do you get gas? You don't have a cat converter right?
@kurtnesass - thank you. Since this video I have installed Burger Motorsports JB4 Stage 2 tune, Vishnu catless DP, aFe Cold Air Intake, modified wastegate, and a honed charge pipe with 2 METH bungs. I'm also running 17psi with METH. Torque is around 427 ft. That'll put you back in your seat. :-) The n55 may not generate more HP than the n54 (yet) but it sure as hell generates CRAZY torque low end. I need to work on the rear suspension to improve getting out of the hole.
@MrTonydaalbo069 - No. First off... the n55 has only 1 dp. Second... simply plug in a BMS CANTool. It automatically deletes codes, also you get the added benefit of shift lights, and hijacking your fuel guage for your boost control.
@bmw626 in THIS video.... yes. I now have the Vishnu 3.5" Cat-less dp... the increase in tq coupled with the N55 Stage 1 Tune from BMS..... WOW. 3 mods = n55 scorcher (axle back, tune and dp) done deal.
@madmanhiker Awesome, thats what I want to hear. I just ordered mine. Gonna order the HPF intercooler, Procede tune, afe intake, and water meth kit with your exhaust setup and call it done.
@bmw626 lol - I just got my tracking number for the aFe CAI ! I'll post a new vid soon!!! I went with the n55 instead of the PROcede for many reasons.... cost, ease of installation and removal for service. METH.... thinking about...... not sure... I go sideways right now in third gear so not sure I need anything more at this point - DYNO on June 12th!!!
@bmw626 the HPF cooler should reap huge benefits - I live in north Florida - while it's no where as hot as AZ - it's still Africa hot here with ridiculous humidity. Right now - oil temps around 240-260 on a 96 degree day running hard.
@bmw626 - yes - this is an older video. Check out my other videos... I have since added the Vishnu 3.5" Cat-less pipe. Most folks at the dyno say it's the best sounding 335 they have heard. I'll have to take their word for it.
@HEROYWE not sure what your question is. Mine is an M-Sport 335 Coupe. X-Drive is different due to the suspension and the AWD components. 2 different animals.
right - and thanks for the props. It's a bit frustrating as well, but I chose the 55 over the 54 offered in the 335is. I had a choice... and I chose to go for the newer engine mainly because of the HPFP issues, and the fact that the new motor has 1 dp. It's a TON easier to work on as well compared to the n54. Give it time, this motor can be tweaked just like the n54. Again, after 2011, the n54 will never be sold again.
@madmanhiker The eventual successor N55 retains the N54's horsepower and torque, while improving emissions and packaging and reducing fuel consumption, so it has replaced the N54 in many applications as well as supplanting the high output versions of the N52B30. However, the N54 engine has more output potential (That's from Wikipedia)
@ahmdawi - Wikipedia is a source that is supplanted by users like you or me - it is not an official source of accurate information. Again, both engines are great, but with the compounded issues with the n54 and the HPFP failures, it was dated and need a serious update. Do more research. The n55 is here to stay. 2011 is the last year for it - the 1M will be getting the n55 next year as well.
@madmanhiker I am aware of it's issues. I did enough research long ago and I should know, because I own a 335i coupe with the N54 engine and double clutch transmission. I was not picking on you man you're car is still awesome and you have the best looking rear diffuser and exhaust on youtube. If I had to modify my car I would put the same. But still BMW bothers me because they kept the N54 only for higher perfomance cars like the 335is and 1M coupe.
also - guess what the new M3 will be based off of genius... the n55. Just be fortunate enough to be able to drive a BMW, this isn't a contest of whose is bigger. It's about driving a fantastic vehicle with an amazing engineering history. BMW is the standard by which others strive to be.
@madmanhiker thanks man. i didnt realize u said it in the video my bad haha.. btw, what do u think of the diffuser? i mean im sure u like it but was there a drastic difference in appearance and peoples responses? cuz im looking into getting one but having a hrad time choosing which ones and for a good price...
i looked at the seleections from bimmerkit and they had some good prices for their diffusers~!
@TheJamesPark - yes there is a drastic difference, and yes people love the way it looks. I have never rec'd a negative comment. never. It's a little pricey, but the product is worth it.
@poppishogunz - Danke! I'll be posting 2 more videos within the next month each separately as I build this new n55.
The next video will have the new Vishnu Tuning 3.5 catless down pipe which will bring much more torque and HP - not to mention make the turbo spool extremely evident. I need to drive at least 200-400 miles prior to dyno. Once I have the dyno results, then I'll add the CAI (below)
The second video will have the all new n55 aFe Cold-Air intake installed, dyno to follow
@lslinger - the numbers gained by the new axle-back are modest; and are measured in newtons. Low-end torque was what was gained here, but with the new n55 single-turbo motor, the best (and easiest) way to get more power out of an already amazing machine, is to purchase a tune. JB3, PROcede and now COBB (at the time of this writing) have come up to the plate. There are more coming, but those are available now. Personally, COBB AccessPort is what I am waiting for due to it's amazing gains.
great vids~~wish you could post some more posts inside and outside the car, with the remus race exhaust on the go :) how's the exhuast. ...overall recommended or disappointed? i am looking to get one of these~what would you recommend!!

only reason for the intercooler and water meth is the added stress of living in AZ. Wanna keep temps as low as possible in 117 degree heat.

I wish that they've never made the n55 engine, the n54 twin turbo has more potential than a twin scroll single turbo.
