@tatodino You'll need a program to put video and audio together like Windows Movie Maker... yeah, that should do it. Then you delete the "onboard" sound of the camera and paste (and necessarily cut) the recording of the H4n. The most difficult part is to get video & audio go in sync.
So how much post editing did you do to achieve your results. Just opened my new h4n today, and have a hiss on every recording done from the internal mics. Have tried usb, a/c, and battery. Still there on all three. Anyone who has one, I would want to know if it is a common "hiss" or is my defective. Thanks.
Hello. Actually no, no changes were made on the audio files, just video synched and then compressed for youtube upload. If you need any more information, I will be glad to give you an answer.
I think you misread me... I was saying that the Zoom H4n makes less noise when you are holding it than the Zoom H4... Better construction / design means less 'handling noise'...
Hello. Yes, you're right. As for the H4n it can be used easily without too much handling noise on interviews. Right now I'm using it as a mixer for recording audio in a film with both XLR inputs and it's own mic.
Do you think this could be used for a documentary, where only sit down interviews in a controlled setting would be done, using just the mics built into the H4N. Or would you still recommend mics for the inputs?
@ar4216 Depends. "The way you present yourself is the way you will be seen." I.E. If you're a professional Production Mixer on a feature you wouldn't show up on set with a Zoom H4N, I hope not. Although, I honestly believe that with the quality of the H4N; it is capable of doing independent features and documentary work. I'd suggest you plug your boom mic into the H4N and record with that. :)
é muito bom o facto de portugueses começaram a partilhar informação e ideias

You can use an application called Pluraleyes to sync the audio with the video. This is very popular when using a HDSLR camera.

I have a Zoom H4n to record my band. How can i record and use it as the sound of a video? As a videoclip (the same as you did with your video)
Thank youuu

have the sorted out the sync issues it used to run faster than video cameras before?

@widowsbreath Since it doesn't have the ability to import or output timecode this will always be a problem regardless of what they do.

They seem to have cut down on handling noise! Excellent work... I've owned the original H4 and currently own the H2...
