Man I love how moody, and well done that last scene was. The suffering Brundle taking the gun up to his head was pretty sad. He understood that it just had to end at some point.
Everytime I see this part of the movie, I think about the time when my sweet, loving, caring, devotional girlfriend has passed away and my emotions felt like that particular part of the movie. Really fucked up beyond repair and hopeless where I myself just wanna due myself in as well.
Even though I've just been watching the making of, and know this is a puppet and all that, it still brings a tear to my eye such is the strength and power of the performances.
Even though I havent seen The Fly, but from what I've seen its pretty damn disgusting, I feel a little moved by the ending. It reminds me of the classic monster movies (Wolfman, Frankenstein) where you feel sorry for it.
yeh scary but a girl had died 2 years ago becouse she was alone in her house she locked all the doors got changed went to bed then something said now where all locked in she died and this will happen to u alone or not if u dont post this to 5 other movies
what does CWI stand for? I'm in college studying to become a theater major for acting and behind the scenes work because my school doesn't have a film department
This came out a year before Evil Dead 2. Both movies involve guys with missing hands (one left, one right) firing double-barrel shotguns (one over/under, one side-by-side) from the shoulder using their stump to hold up the forearm. XD
ssoo sad at the end.this is my favorite horror film of all time, and after watching it i got intrested in biology, genetics, entomology(study of insects), engineering, physics, the relationship between matter and energy. it was inspiring.very graphic and gorry, but inspiring ^-^
@mew19forever This is njot sad but what i don't get is why didn't the fly grow his wings yet and you should study insects cause like this movie is cool but if you want to build a teleport check for insects before building
good point, i think the fly never sprouted wings because this wasnt a pure strain genotype but rather a mix of human and insect DNA, and wings on something so malformed and unnatural would have only been a henderance instead of a benefit, nature knows best^-^(in theroy here of course:))
@mew19forever it's where I first found out that flies actually vomit on their food just for the simple fact that they cannot chew their food. Kinda gross but interesting at the time lol!
any fly 2 behind scenes?

Is it just me, or did the puppeteers make the Brundlefly nod at 5:29 for laughs, like it was listening to the director? XD

@TheAluminiumklorid It is very much like that, yes. And in both movies, there's a scene where you see them loose their fingernails. Gross lol

They work a lot here, today there is a lot more of techniques available but they don´t play so much attention to the reality effect.

What song is it in the end?
idiotusername 2 years ago
A feast of friends - AN AMERICAN PRAYER of Jim Morrison / music by The Doors
kosz79 2 years ago
the song in this video is not the original theme of the doors, just a cover instrumental
kosz79 2 years ago
It's Albinoni's Adagio for strings in G minor, nothing to do with the Doors(!) although it was probably used in the Doors the movie!
