  • Outstandingly beautiful!

Creative in the extreme, her work is so diverse.

  • ....was listening to the Khachaturian piano sonata, the lady here outclasses the guy, with all the crazy syncopations must have been into hard stuff, that's what you gotta do these days...

  • Thank you very much for posting this video! I would like to ask you, who is the pianist?

  • Thank you for the post! I love this music!

I just would like to make a small correction: this is not a sonata for piano and percussion, but a sonata for piano solo, written in 1965. The percussive effects were obtained through the use of a bamboo stick on the piano pegs against a cluster performed on the keyboard, plucking the strings, etc.

  • That was what I had thought, but it was marked as "piano and percussion" in my library, and not being especially familiar with the piece that's how I decided to note it, as I've erroneously noted two other pieces in the past (ironically, both were pieces by Dumitrescu). Fixed. Thanks.

  • Also, ironically, neither of us noticed I misspelled her name. Was previously "Gubaildulina" lol.

  • Sounds quite jazzy!!

  • thank you!
