This was a favorite song from my childhood. My mom used to sing this to me as far back as I can remember. When this recording came out by the Everly Bros, I was so excited to finally have a recording of it. I think I practically wore the groove thru on the record.

Thanks so much for posting this... I've searched for this song for a long time. My brother Ronnie & my Daddy (both now deceased) used to play guitar & sing this to me when I was a small child. Brings tears to my eyes... bittersweet... I miss them dearly, and this brings back so many memories. <3
Thanks for posting this. Somebody had a video on here before, showing them performing this song at a family reunion in Kentucky. I am sure they sang this song as children. Nobody can ever match their harmony.
@VA24541 this is a song i learnt to sing b4 i could speak my uncle was a teenager and this was on an old78rpm he used to think he was phil so they was my earlist music i remember but i saw them about the last time they came here in brighton my eldest daughter got the tickets for our wedding annversary and they were even better live and forfilled a dream
