My wife and I adopted 3 children from Colorado Springs that had become "Wards" of the State of Colorado. Fortunately we were very blessed to have an Amazing CASA worker and a private agency, Hope and Home, (God Bless them) who facilitated the adoption. The least impressive entity in the process was El Paso County DHS. I'm certain that many of the Agents for DHS, including the agent in this video, try to do the best by the children, but are hampered by red tape and serious budget shortfalls.
It's a fallacy that money and budget shortfalls are the problem. There are too many social workers, and too many are corrupt, and will rip a child / baby from a good home. If you do any research in this area, you will be shocked at the stories of parents who have had their children stolen for NO reason. CPS - it has been proven - fabricates evidence, lies, commits perjury, ignores court orders and violates childrens' and parents' rights all the time. They are a gang of Nazis.
are you aware that in adopting these children, that you have taken part in the breaking of these childrens' hopes and dreams? and of course you must keep in mind that most of these children were ripped from their mothers' arms, either at birth, or after proper mother to child bonding. what these children remember is the hell they were put through, and eventually since we all know children are easily let astray, that they believe these lies about mommy and daddy.
so they grow up hating mommy and daddy, for something they nevver did... what do you think they would do if they found out that they were adopted? kids in care, or adopted tend to grow up faster than others, and they will string it together and notice differences between them and you as their adoptive parents. they will hate you for letting them believe these lies the social worker has kindly provided for you. because alot of people still believe the system is good, that they help families.
