its not about how many you win or the amount of fastest laps, its about consistancy
for example this year, had hamiltopn finished in the 4th in Monza and Singapore (where he had DNF's but was already in these positions by the time he exited the race) he would be champion.
you can't say that if he had beat ferrari and redbull then he wouldn't have deserved it because he only had three wins and not as many fastest laps as alonso
