The easiest way to stop horse slaughter is to educate people to enjoy an older horse instead of creating an economy based on the breeding, buying and selling of babies. Too many people think a horse is old when they have reached 10. 10 and beyond are the best years. So instead of buying a pretty little baby look at something older that will love you and be grateful of the home you have given them. My own horse is an off track thoroughbred a prime example of over breeding.
