DROID keyboard lag, tap to autoscroll problem, and gmail app quirks

I have had a DROID 2 for over a week now and it has none of these issues. Its crazy fast and the keyboard is great! Still want the Galaxy, but this phone is making that a tough decision.

@Jodiuh Your Processer heats up thats why and when it does your phone is fucked up for good. happened to me. All andriod phones have it .

About to have Droid number FIVE tomorrow (I've had the phone type for 3 months now). I hate this phone and Motorola, I love how Verizon wont even let me downgrade to an Ally or anything else for that matter.

i'd call verizon back and tell them to suck your balls or you'll cancel your contract...maybe they'll give you an htc or something...my cousin (4 year customer) had the same problem and they gave him an evo just the other day.

my DROID runs awesome I love the phone...but this thing wont connect to wifi any suggestions??

I was able to connect. My problem was staying connected. Both the DROID and Eris had issues w/ this. I've had multiple devices on my WAP wo/ issue. I can only suspect something w/ Android as it's 2 manufacturer's phones. Perhaps try another WAP or firmware?

i occasionally have that first problem on the browser too but nowhere else, although certain apps have their own (different) keyboard lag (like hi aim).

as for the link issue, have you tried long-pressing over the link area? that's always worked for me.

Ive already replaced the DROID with an Eris. Although I'm still getting the page cannot ne displayed error, as are many Verizon Droid users. So far the Eris had been much les buggy.

Have you gone to do the return at a different store? Maybe the initial store you went to got a bad batch! Just a thought.

These quirks are pretty unforgivable on such a heralded device.

Does a restart of the phone/software fix any of it (albeit temporarily)?

Not at all. I'm gonna have a chance to speak w/ a moto dude via sp tech today. Hopefully I can get something out of it.

Dude, you are having a ton of issues. Sorry man, I can't believe the luck. I wonder if they replace your Droid with other Droids that have been returned for similar issues.
