Not sure on cost as I did all the work myself over a few years. W2A Cooler & custom tune by Dicks Electronics in Sydney made the biggest difference. Great fun for a daily driver, surprises alot of people.
looks and sounds good man, how much did this set you back?
at the moment my vy is cammed and tuned using 1.9:1 rockers and it makes 165kw at the rear tyres, would love to see my little daily make this kind of power
I have VX model with a growler cold air kit , 69mm throttle body , a 2.5 cat back exhaust ,and headers being fitted next week . goes and sounds like the hounds of hell .
@MaTtRoSiTy well the fact is with the L67 it is lighter & sits within the front wheels giving the Commodore a much better weight distribution & fantastic handling more netural compared to your understeering LS1 an with the right mods to a L67 the little 6 banger that could will smash unsuspecting LS1 drivers an will scare Porsche owners shitless Bang for Buck you're not going to find anything better than a L67 powered commodore
that whine is awesome, mine make almost no noise hey, not a roots style like yours, kind of wish i had that option without costing me my house. Vortec for me.
How much did it cost u for all the mods complete installed because I don't want to be spending my money to keep tuning it I rather but all at one go I have a stock 6.8L V6 and I want my VY to have power it's my baby
I want my vy like that I have a stock acclaim 6.8L V6 how much it cost u round about for all the parts installed cause I don't want want bit by bit and have to tune it because my money be doing on synonym testing plus I want a cannon for the back
@creedyflyr what torque did she put out at the rear mate?
i got a VS II 5 speed ute with a N.A. L36 pushin 270kw at the fly with a few mods on a fully rebuilt motor. doing a test with the NA L36 to see what its capable of with out a blower. nice work mate. looks tidy as and sounds wicked!
Not sure about the torque, I asked the dyno operator & he told me the Tractive Effort (which is pretty much the same) but I didnt get a printout & have forgotten the figure.
Thanks Mate,

Impressive, no doubt about that, but I do have to wonder why anyone wouldnt just start out with even the LS1 as the base for upgrading?

@MaTtRoSiTy
Been there, done that & this thing smokes LS1 with the same money spent.
Awesome acceleration but a bit lacking in the topend where the LS1 shines.
Plus its something different & I love the look on V8 drivers faces when they get smoked by a little V6.

@creedyflyr interesting! Cheers, I will wonder no more...and yea it would give V8 drivers a surprise
MaTtRoSiTy in reply to creedyflyr (Show the comment) 4 months ago
@MaTtRoSiTy because an l67 with a pulley and cai smoke the fuck out of the ls1

Sounds mad! Any trouble with getting that power to the ground? I hear the Holdens are great with putting down the power with minimal wheel spin

Thanks Mate,
Yep they hook up well. Its best 60ft time at WSID was 1.7sec so yeh they fly off the mark.
