Hi I have the same thing but it is a 2008 450 GL, and when I hit the reverse gear, the back up camera doesn't switch on. I don't even know if a back up camera is on it or not. Or there is a way to switch it on.

-he said gl 450 when he was closing the gate when it said 550

-he said they changed the transmision shifter from the center to the wheel when it was always on the wheel

Maybach was supposed to offer an SUV based on the GL but I haven't heard anything about that in a while.

my family personally owned a 2007 GL450. it had the same quality level as a Lada, but the price of a Escalade/Range Rover/Audi Q7. we traded it for a Q7 and we haven't had even a little problem with it. i recommend the Audi over this any day.

The GL is a few inches shorter than the Chevy Tahoe, not the Suburban. He also said 450 instead of 550 after he closed the tailgate.
