  • Madre mia señor que buenooo!!!

  • R.I.P.MAESTRO SABICAS !

  • Those of you who underestimate the contribution of Paco should remember that Sabicas himself said " Paco is my successor" and he did play pure flamenco early on Nino Miguel AND Paco both contributed enormously to flamenco there is no need to discredit paco they both stand alone in their contribution

  • Niño Miguel, the only true geniune flamenco tocaor after the glorious time of Sabicas

  • Sabicas played a Peg cedar top Ramirez flamenco for most of his fuinal decaqdes he also played a Lester Devoe I saw him play it in concert at UCLA..Early on he palyed estesso and a spruce top peg Ram irez in the 50's and early 60's

  • thats how a guitar should sound like. just perfect.

    RIP Sabicas

  • I lived in Spain in the '70's and was in the company of gypsies and musicians. The sounds of Sabicas resonating throughout the night!

  • HAIL SABICAS !!

  • Great flamenco guitarrist completely superseded by Niño Miguel and Paco de Lucia who brought in a whole new musicality, syncopation and technique, they in turn followed on by Tomatito, Vicente Amigo, the Moraos and other very talented younger players ....

  • @whizzkid227 nice that you mention Niño Miguel. I think he was the best, the true genious among the two. The "new flamenco" followed much more the experimenting of Lucia - but I wish it had given more attention to Niño Miguel's style, much more poetic, profound, and true to the roots. It's ironic, since Lucia himself learned a lot from the innovation of Niño.

  • Eu me rendo...

  • Awesome!!!

  • Esto es pa Juan. Bueno ya todos los que quieran verlo. Mira que maravilla. Aqui encuentras muchas cositas de Sabicas. Disfruta ;-)

  • Man, he plays swiftly and he still manages to get all of those golpes in there! I've never heard anyone else use golpe like that..

  • Yes, Sabicus often used a footrest. And Davidleealford, not only are the hands relaxed between the bursts, they are the eptiome of mimimalist movement during the bursts! This video was filmed while Sabicus was still relatively young, and in full possession of all his considerable skills. What a joy to be able to watch this man! David B.

  • Looks like sabicas is using a foot rest

  • Very relaxed hands between the bursts.

  • The epitome of guitar technique... OLE!

  • Ole! Tio Sabicas

  • ¡Madre Mia!

  • how many hours a day do i have to practice to get this fast?

  • @trebletones if your a genius and start around 6, 4 hrs. a day for 15 yrs. If you're talented 10 hrs. a day for a quarter century. If you're good, never.

  • Sabicas...el rey !!

  • How can i get a right hand like this?

  • practicing everyday

i;ve been practicing flemenco for years and my hand isnt as fast it takes awhile buddy

  • Grow out your fingernails

  • Comment removed

  • fabulous.

  • wow

  • que técnica!!!

  • its just so hard to believe that its only one guitar playing...sounds like an army of guitars, superb!

  • It is highest and he is the star of Spain

  • his picado is so powerful that his hand is always swaying sidewards

  • One of the GREATS!!!

  • Geez--does this gut EVER have a bad day? His technique is ridiculous and his tone is clear and wonderful. Chet Atkins once said that the greatest technique he had ever seen belonged to Sabicas. Now that's saying something-from one master to another.

  • thanks for makin'this worldwide. WH netherlands.

  • vaya burreria ¬¬

  • solido........

  • Ole los grandes!!!

  • O_O

  • How old is he? is he still alive?

  • died, 91 i think.

  • Sabicas es "EL REY" only Paco De Lucia has come close to his artistry.{ and Nino Ricardo}

El niño miguel es una leyenda... do you know him???... Paco de lucia isnt all flamenco.

  • Paco y Sabicas !!!! y nino ricardo

  • UMMMM,,,, Sabicas, Niño Miguel, Manolo de Huelva, Pepe Martinez, Ramon Montoya...

listen more guitarrist flamenco player... LISTENNN!!!!!.... Paco de lucia isnt all flamenco... just is international but not the best...

  • I've been into Flamenco all my life, so you don't need to tell me to listen. If you have a right to your opinion, so do I. I've probably listened to more guitarrists in 48 years I've played and been an afficionado than you have. Nono Miguel is great, but I prefer the old paco playinfg to his ....we just don't agree you should have more respect for my right to an opinion,I don't tell you what to think!

  • Gentleman, you have reason in his musical preferences as well as I also have reason in my preferences...

Paco is big, but I hold that the Niño Miguel is more big.

Simply also they are my preferences.

    Regards.

  • And I respect your right to your opinion.you're not wrong, and i'm not wrong we just have different preferances.Nino Miguel left his mark on flamenco very big, and Paco said he really thought he was amazing.I hope his health is improving,I pray that his recovery goes well thank you amigo..hasta luego jaime

  • It does not get any better than that! And thats that!!!!!

  • what is that channel? tv2 or tv8pleas i want to learn and watch that channel :p

  • There are a few flamenco guitarists who equalled his level and perhaps a fraction beyond, but Sabicas set the bar close to the human limit, so any arguments on this come down to one's own preferences. I refer to Paco de Lucia, primarily, but there are a few others that impress me such as Paco Cepero.

  • Sabicas is the greatest. Still today, I find no one with the pure artistry of Sabicas. He was a true musician and artist not one of the many neurotic, egotist, technicians. No one today is even close, I don't care how good their mechanical skill is. Sabicas is still #1!

  • @realview101 buckethead

  • @realview101

If you enjoy sabics, give nino ricardo a listen. The man wasn't as much of a technician as Sabicas, but had his rightfull place amongst the flemenco legacy of yesteryear.

  • @cabagecookie yes also Mario Escudero

  • .......damnit......haha great

  • fue una fuente para otros creadores

  • BRAVO!!!!!!!!

  • el ultimo!!! el genio SABICAS OLE!!!

  • SI, EL ULTIMO.... OLE SABICAS!!

  • k velocidad k grande eresss

  • nice post.. I studied from one of Sabicas students...... First vid I have seen of Sabicas.. very nice

  • whats the name of this buleria ?cant find the cd or audio file!

  • es una taranta-camino de linares

  • es bulerias

  • I transcribed this into 3/4 and 6/8 rasgeados mostly in 6/8.

  • Nice, any chance i could get a copy?

  • You shouid try to buy the dvd Sabicas: King of the Flamenco Guitar.

  • The best guitarist ever. No one ever did what Sabicas (1912-1990) did. Can we have some more material from his best years, like this posting?

  • We should refer to him as a composer not (just) a guitarist.
