You guys rock and by that you are rocking me, I am hearing my kind of rock is back, top drumming top guitar playing and top key board sound PLEASE please stay together.
you guys complete each other and my kind of music,
Joe Bonamassa on guitar, Jason Bonham on drums, Glenn Hughes on bass, and Derek Sherinian on keys... God couldn't have put together a better supergroup. So glad I found this band!!!
Everybody in the studio live, no overdubs... This can only be done by the greatest. Man, can Glenn still sing after all these years! Damn! This is definitely one of the most exciting bands to come out for a long time...
The last time four amazing talents were placed in one room and then create a band this amazing was Led Zeppelin (the best band that ever walked this earth).
Black Country Communion are the greatest band that have hit the scene in decades! I love the fact they turn around two albums so fast, tour and then release a DVD of the tour (looking forward to watching it).
Saw them in Glasgow and must say it was one of the best concerts I have ever been to! I have seen all the greatest bands in concert and I think BCC put a lot to shame.
i like joe bonamassa so much more in this band. i always thought he was a GREAT guitarist, but it just didnt do anything for me. this really makes him seem cooler!
man their second album sucks compared to their first. I like these guys, but the content of their songs is seriously lacking on the second album, the singing sucks, the songs are repetitive and mixed poorly, it's like the minute someone called them a 70s band they were like "Uhhh no fuck you" and tried to modernize too much. I don't know about you but I hate seeing a great band lose their balls after the first album.
@EpictheEpicest I liked the second album better personally . Particularly the vocals . I thought the first album material was almost too 70's , a bit cliche ' . 2 sounds like a band who has found their own sound to me
Llandudno gig was fantastic! Beyond superlatives, glenn the voice, out of this world;Derek, keyboard king;jason, phenominal, Joe,you blew us away! What a combination, it was an honour and a pleasure to be there!!
Does Joe Bonamasso sing any tracks? I'd like to hear Glenn and Joe harmonize like Alice In Chains used to that would be a great compliment to vocals right there.
@N8iveNik Listen to the song Too Late For the Sun from the 1st album. They alternate lines and it sounds fantastic. Also, Joe sings The Revolution in Me, Battle for Hadrian's Wall, Song of Yesterday and maybe some others that I forgot about.
You guys are AWESOME! Jason, thanks for all your Autographs, Drumhead and Poster of your Dad. I really enjoyed your show in Montreal QC with the JBLZE tour, Looking Forward to seeing you here with the BCC! Caveman really has your back, he is a Fantastic Influence and he Rocks!
@24fret7string Glenn Hughes was slaying audiences with his incredible voice when Chris Cornell was a wee toddler, or maybe not even born yet. You should listen/buy the Trapeze albums "Medusa" and "You Are The Music..." for starters. Peace
so the sign at the start on the building..says shangri la ranch...from an interview tho..one of the members (think it was Bonham) said they recorded the album in Santorini..so..what were they doing hear? just using it as a rehearsal/writing pad?
Why did it take me 36 years to hear this guy sing? I've beem a metal/rock fan since the 80s, know all the great vocalists, Halford, Dio, Dickenson, Plant, etc then i'm watching That Metal Show on VH1 classic and this guy is a guest, and they rave about him, so I check to see what the fuss is about. I've been missing out. He is blowing me away. Is he that underated or have I just had my head in the dirt?
@JCanipe Check out Hughes/Thrall project, Gary Moore's "Run for Cover" featuring Glenn Hughes/Phil Lynott, and Black Sabbath's "Seventh Star". Of course Deep Purple's "Burn", "Stormbringer", and "Come taste the band" featuring guitarist Tommy Bolin.
@JCanipe I had heard him for years and didn't know it! He's just underrated, when in fact he should be in the top 10 of the greats. He did double duty in Deep Purple after Ian Gillan left, singing and playing bass with David Coverdale. Glenn is now one of my all time favorites!
Got my ticket already for June 17th in Hampton Beach,N.H.,looking forward to this show ever since i bought this album off of ITunes, the music looks brighter now w/ Black Country Communion!
This certainly IS my favorite! It reminds me of my late, great, best friend, Greg Corona. He was the nephew of Les Paul, an amazing player, and passed late '09 a few months after Uncle Les. I played in many groups with Greg and we made a great writing team. I used to tell him that he proved to me that you can put a lot of passion into a song, one half-step at a time. The Great Divide is very similar to a couple of the tunes we wrote together, and I can't help but break down each time I hear it!
So good to see that this is getting viewed because this IS amazing...Glenn just keeps getting better and better (like Jeff Beck...because they have both been amazing for like 4 decades)!
