Both singers are excellent for Verdi's roles. Their voices are big, but controlled at will to accomplish the dynamic changes the duetto demands. Verdi wrote for singers with great dramatic impact that could merge the Belcanto technique in the interpretation. Corelli's voice evolution is fully shining in this final act.
Wow! What a magnificent bit of singing. I just about jumped out of my chair when Corelli held on to that high note about half way through and pullled it down in a long diminuendo. Absolutely thrilling. What a magnificent tenor he was! I cannot tell you how much I have enjoyed this series of selections from Aida. A BIG job on your part, that I for one applaud! Brava!
