  • Both Jeff Buckley and Idiot Wind do a great version of this song. But I think I'll have to give the nod to Jeff.

  • He is good.

  • So who accidentally hit the dislike button? Surely it was mistake.....Pfft.

  • @JadedRuby i was jUst thinking thAT! .. and trying to come up with a reason.. has to have been an accident

  • so awesome

  • Gonna listen to this till my ears go deaf to ease the pain I feel

  • Bobby's lyrics + Buckleys Vocals = Heaven on earth

  • This is seriously my favorite Buckley recording. Shows so much of his talent.

  • Jeff you've been on my mind:)

  • damn.

  • Jeff,i dont know if you've been on our minds but you've been in our hearts for sure

  • Funny thing - I once heard an interview wherein a record exec [cos we know how image and talent matter equally right?] say when he first saw Jeff's father play he thought - an attractive Bob Dylan... I can only guess what would have happened if that exec could have gotten Jeff to do an album of Dylan covers.... record exec dreams are made of such things I guess...

  • It's good to hear that there are some young folks on this thread that are huge fans! I just heard about him last summer when I heard that he was one of the best vocalists of all time. I'm very grateful. He's a best kept secret whose popularity is very slowly expanding, which is beautiful.

  • Best version was by Jeff buckley

  • @akn0ledge great cover but something about the way dylan performed it on the witmark demos gets me everytime. listen to it if u havent

  • BEAUTY TO MY EARS! <3 <3 LOVE JEFF BUCKLEY'S VOICE!! SO BEAUTIFUL AND SERENE

  • It's brilliant no doubt about it, but personally for me Dylan's is the best. Jeff's vocals are superb here

  • I'm sure Dylan is proud of this cover.

  • this was covered by rod stewart in the 70s ...loved his version and am really enjoying this to...my son turned me onto jeff and i gotta admit (being a real oldish hippie chick)i love him...how can anyone call him or dylan boring?....real music..sung by a true artist...

  • @worldcitizenforever Are you tone deaf?? Or, do you only find musical security in gangsta rap??

  • Pay no mind to trolls trying to get a rise out of anyone anywhere. This is a wonderful performance of a great song. Enough said.

  • I love Brian Eno and Dylan and Buckley. This is not my favorite version by a long shot. "Boring" is in the ear of the beholder.

Or, in worldcitizenforever's case, the ear of the asshole.

  • @worldcitizenforever See what I mean? You're trying to tell me who is a genius and who isn't and you're obviously not too clever yourself.

I'm currently studying sound art so I'm aware of Brian Eno, GX Jupitter-Larsen and Karlheinz Stockhausen but that doesn't stop me from liking other forms of music. Not liking something for being commercial is more superficial than commercialism itself.

    Got anymore Wilde-esque replies?

  • @worldcitizenforever I didn't want to get personal but obviously you're an arsehole, and a stupid one at that. I ''don't know nothing about music"? I'm aware of Brian Eno and he's a very intelligent guy (I bet he doesn't use double negatives). How is this a commercial song? It's got 8,731 views. It's one of Dylan's lesser known songs.

And if you dislike music purely for it's commercial sound then you're nothing more than a poser.

  • @worldcitizenforever That's not the answer to the question he was asking. If that's your opinion, fine, but most people would consider the sounds of The Best Relaxing Sounds Ever vol1 - The Ocean to be mind numbingly dull. Just remember that most people come to this video to hear a musical genius.

  • He was unusual...

    R.I.P

  • Wh...wait...who the holy fuck dislikes this?!?!

  • totally agree im a HUGE Dylan fan i have all his cd's and also a HUGE Buckley fan but this has to be the best version ever. Jeff your on all our minds :)

  • @BDuB1386 couldn't agree more!! i love Dylan a lot but this version from Buckley is truly touching.

  • @rooxJB Yeah I would also wanted to see him play, too bad I was born in 1993..

  • @HowColdCanYouPlay

unfortunately i was born in 1994. what a pity :(

  • @rooxJB Was amazing? Jeff and his music are amazing. His music will never die and only the body died, not the soul.

  • @HowColdCanYouPlay indeed in the last sentence i wrote (and in bold type too) everything about him IS amazing! My regret is not having seen him in a live concert.

  • It's so amazing.. He was so amazing, His music was so amazing.. Everything about Jeff IS amazing.. YOU KNOW EVERYBODY HERE WANTS YOU!!! :(
