I had a big crush on John Cusak, he is just an awesome guy and he is the type of guy I would go out with, there's always something with guys wearing trenches. great job on the video :D 5/5
OMG - I'm a grown man and I'm crying like a baby! Always loved that song and movie...I miss the 80's! Beautiful job of editing, thanx for posting this - it was more retrospective than you know!
You HAVE put together all the best (romantic) scenes in this great video - matched with the unforgettable song by Peter Gabriel. This is such a keeper!
This should be the actual video for this wonderful song.Thare are no words. Beautiful. Eighties were unique in many ways. Thanks God I was a teen then.
one of my favorite movies-so many great scenes-Lloyd at the dinner table talking about all the things he's not going to do with his life, the geniuses at the Sip-n-go telling Lloyd how to get over Diane, DC in the guitar store-"I dream of getting a letter like this", the boombox scene-what a movie!
You know its funny. When someone comes into your life and it totally catches you off gaurd. You are vulnerable and you don't care. You see life in a new way. Granted it was a boombox in 1989 now, its email, text message myspace... Then it is over, and you do the same damn things he did in the movie drive all night stand in the rain to wash the heartbreak away and basically be obsessive about it. Yep I am there if you haven't guessed. IT SUCKS! But the movie and the song are great. Peace DLT
If its 2008 and someone tried to pull the same tactics like John Cusack did it would be
cranking the car radio loud or put their MP3 Player on the car radio they would be labled as show off or yell "Are you deaf!" to the guy
also music was much different and way better in 1989 than today. Look at today its one Booty call to the next by rap groups and also Teen and Child stars who may not be born in 1989 are remaking songs from that era.

Has anyone else heard that JCusak came up w/ the key scene in this movie where he holds up the boombox while they were filming it?

Lloyd Dobbler is one of the greatest characters in movie history! It's a shame that there aren't many guys like him.

That's okay - I was with your mother during those two days. How's her ass feeling? I was a little rough on it.

You're definitely NOT Lloyd Dobler - about the farthest thing from it.

If there was ever a song that summed it all up for me and my arrogant youth to manhood it would be this song. To capture that all again, thanks.
