    im scared

  • TIMELESS , INNOVATIVE ELECTRO HEAVEN FROM 1979 FROM 2 PIONEERING ARTISTS. TIMEMACHINE ALMOST READY , BAGS PACKED , FIRST STOP 1979 . ONE WAY TICKET ONLY FOR ME

  • Did the Pet Shop Boys get their inspiration from these two?

Seems feasible with Neil Tennant (singer and vocalist) as Russell and Chris Lowe (miserable keyboard player who never smiled) as Ron.

Worth some more research I think !

  • Am I the only person who thinks Ron is really David Walliams from that Little Britain?

  • happy days at the mecca great stuff

  • brilliant xxx

  • HiTLER in heaven

  • new wave, before there was new wave..

  • 12 people wont get to heaven and hear its no 1 song

  • id say he modeled himself a lot more after charlie chaplin..with the long hair and stuff, and that stache was quite common in the 20s and before until hitler made it really famous

  • @lesterpiglet1 it seems that would make well worth it to go to prison.

  • Ron and I have the same hair texure.

  • @jms6959 best comment on youtube

  • Did Moroder have a hand in this?

  • @MaryhillBill Yes.

  • @MaryhillBill yes moroder produced this album and terminal jive, there is a new bok out about the band and they speak about moroder. check yer local library

  • these guys were on the same genius level as the group yello!!

  • @chacho6011 Or, The Wombles.

  • Giorgio Moroder's paws are all over this which makes it all the better.

  • This is probably only transcended by the version with Jimmy Somerville.

  • sounds fresh all over again

  • One Word !!! Brilliant !!! ahead of there time

  • Sailor- Glass of Champagne, Styalistics- I cant give you everything but my love and Sparks - This town Ain't Big enough for both of Us plus No1 song in heaven.

These are the fur songs that conjour up so many happy memories for me when i hear them.

Written so many years ago but magnificent songs al of them.

  • Excellent.Normally Giorgio Moroder productions sound horribly dated but this track still sounds fresh as it hasnt dated. The full length version is better than this but it hasnt been uploaded.

  • BriYeah fucking dancer not heared this in years top marks pure class :-)

  • Timeless classic, but respect to Giorgio Moroder too, eh!

  • Sparks were superb

  • miles ahead of its time

  • @Britcenturion shouldnt that be 'maels' ahead of their time! ;)

  • Hitler...in heaven? :o

  • in the 70s i had the pleasure of sharing the same train carridge with these 2 guys yeppers thats my claim to fame

  • @muttsnuts100 Really? Cool.

  • best keyboard

  • best keyoard player ever

  • Maybe Hitler and Eva Had a son after all , makes you think ,,,,,,,

  • just love this band so much

  • This song was well ahead of its time ...20 years i reckon :))

  • I wanted to look like that lead singer back in the late 1970s, but ended up more like the key board player.

  • Thanks bassman30 for the reply How sad it ended for him this way R I P Dinky Dimond

  • rons face at 0.33..he,s a bit cockeyed

  • ron is the man for those facial looks

  • class song very rare you hear it unless im gigging somewhere lol

  • Check out 'Now that I Own The BBC' - catchiest Sparks song and the best video to go with it - Ron as a dancing sailor and Russell sexy as ever!

  • Did Robyn steal from the sparks?? just compare Robyn - dancing on my own and this song??

  • SINCE WHEN DID ADOLF HITLER START PLAYING KEYBOARD WITH SPARKS SHOULD HE NOT BE KILLING THE SO CALLED CHOSEN PEOPLE

  • Any one know what happend to the origional drummer i think thay called him Dinky Dimond ?

  • @zoomiewoz

Sadly Dinky Diamond hung himself in 2004 - "The drummer with pop group SPARKS hanged himself after being driven mad by noisy neighbours - an inquest has heard. On 10 September 2004, Diamond called a friend to say he "won't be around tomorrow" and later that day was found by his partner JANE GANT hanging from the loft after consuming more than five times the legal driving limit of alcohol in his blood."

  • @bassman30 Thanks tor that so sad it ended like that for him R I P Dinky Dimond

  • This song is perfect from begining to end! I love the robotic synthesizers and driving, confident drumming! Bravo! (oh yeah, Russell is good, too!!)

  • ZZZZZZZ right Sparked out now! Off 2 Bed i bo's... Good stuff! you take the flag.

  • Hitler stash

  • At 3:09 does he say "In the street he humps children, singing"?

  • @zepplinguitar I think he says 'helps'. Not 'humps'.

  • i had this on twelve inch blue vinyl, class

  • @midaint776,The people who are unaware of Sparks wouldn't understand anyway! We are truly blessed that we do love Sparks.

  • I still can't get enough of this classic tune! Rock on, Ron and Russell!

  • Just heard these guys 5 minutes ago. freaking out.

  • Brilliant song

  • Not for the last time, Sparks reinvented themselves with this album. After a little tailing of in form during the late 80s, from the 90s to date they have been consistently brilliant.

  • I bought every album they did throughout the seventies and even watched a documentary of them while I was in prison in 1974, that really ingrained them on me.

The only fanclub I ever joined.

  • @lesterpiglet1 Was that what you were in for.....overrating Sparks!

  • @lesterpiglet1 there is a book about sparks that has just been released, interesting read

  • Their best work was mid 70's, this is awesome though.

  • Giorgio Moroder & Sparks - a great combination ...

  • A band ahead of their time xxx

  • Yeeeeeeeeee haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

    This tune rocks!

  • I have this on orange vinyl.

    Unfortunately, it's scratch :(

  • @julesmorton I feel for you man, a brilliant time of life.

  • Brilliant Nostalgia - puts a smile on ya face on a grey day!

  • i played this song and the album back in the late 70's

  • Haha This video is awesome!!!! I can't believe I just heard of these guys a month ago and that was from a friend in Russia. Those facial expressions are hilarious! I was told they are very popular in Europe, we have to get the word out here in the states. These guys rock!

  • @Travlinfreak I agree, Ron is really cracking me up in this video with the looks on his face.

  • @TrixieStardust If there really is a heaven I hope this video will be there too. There are 11 people out there who will go to hell and have to spend eternity with Richard Simmons!

  • Words escape me when I try to describe this song. Heavenly would be cliché.

  • ron had the best face and look ever, especially that smile at 2.21! AWESOME LOOK!

  • ron had the best face and look ever!

  • lookalike mika..

  • @teenette2 Mika?! don't ever compare legends as these with Mika of all trash!!

  • loved this then .... still love this now ;-) xx

  • Ermmmm...if this song isn't a gay nightclub classic I'd be amazed!

  • 3:17 - 3:21 is my favorite part

  • There's only one Sparks -This is an Epic, Truly original band.

  • @SpiritualDimensionX hell yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 11 people wants 4 Ron Maels.

  • It is just heavenly.

  • Brilliant song - a Moroder synth bassline to die for! Why does Ron Mael look like Simon Amstell's dad? Would be funny for the ex-Never Mind The Buzzcocks presenter to have spoofed this...Noel Fielding doing Russell Mael perhaps?

  • Lady Caca and Justin Beaver still sucks though!

  • 11 people will be rons bitch by the end of the song.

  • sheer class

  • gaY DISCO LOL

  • These boys were fantastic back in the day, and to me they still are. It was part of my youth. Brilliant.

  • I just hope that this is not what heaven looks like

  • so catchy :))))))))))))X

  • Those who took the wrong turn and ended on this page by mistake please don't blame yourselves, it's actually your parent's fault you are intellectually challenged. Please Shoo! now and join the rest of the Mainstream Hordes, thank you, mighty awesome of ya! Kisses :*

  • You Dont see talent like this anymore

  • @xDeathXAngelx711 Yes you do, Lady gaga? Rhianna? justin beiber? ...Okay so they cant sing, they dont write there own songs, they rely on auto tune to make their records sound good, rely on making them selfs look like porn stars during their videos and paying HUGE amounts of money to radio stations to spam the airwaves with their music just to get it into ppls heads that its good.. but they are talented.. :) Incase u cant tell..i agree with you 100%!!! :D:D

  • @xDeathXAngelx711 Thank goodness

  • @xDeathXAngelx711 yeah you do! Sparks are still turning out great albums! :)

  • its like Suicide, but only crapy electric new wave. but its fun to listen to.

  • Arh what a timeless classic. I was telling a DJ friend last night about this track & now I will send this link. Thanks for posting :)

  • I'm not religious in the slightest, but I'd love to have this song played at my funeral.

  • @singinglawnchair - Me too!

  • total respect sir you are funny and talented

  • Ron looks like a comedic version of Hitler.

  • @larrydart13 "comedic"? he's one of the boys from Brazil you know...

  • @descaro go listen to Beiber,Gaga and 50 cent and stop trolling great songs moron.

  • @descaro

    yes you are

  • @descaro They are amazing live..... better than you

  • The dude with the moe looks like the tall guy from Little Brittain.

  • It could be a Charlie Chaplin moustache after all Hitler stole his look from Chaplin according to Chaplin.

  • @Mullenaround Yeah, Ron has said he was going for more of a Charlie Chaplin- Oliver Hardy kind of thing.

  • ... and Moroder, as featured here.

  • Sparks always had great luck working with people like Todd Rundgren

  • @baleariclife89 how do you figure they are Jews?

  • WTF? Hitler?!

  • SEE THE SIMILARITY WITH THE DANCE SCENE LATER COPYISTTS --WOW ? 80'S OH WHAW WHAT COPYISTS ALRIGHT ???????????????? THE MAEL BROS SET THE SCENE DANCE WISE AND --WELL THERER YA GO---WERE THEY OUT OF SAN FRAN PERHAPS..??? I FIRST SAW THEM ON A TV SCREEN IN A SOUTH OF SYDNEY CLUB ABOUT A HUNDRED MILES NOTHING IN AUSTRALIA ACTUALLY EXCEPT WHEN GASOLOINBE IS NOW ABOUT TO GO THRU THE FUCKING ROOF--ETC--WITH REALLY GOOD FOOD AND SURF WOW WHAT A BLAST THAT WAS IN THAT SURF CLUB DOWN IN DOWN UNDA

  • @johngkyneur caps lock is your friend

  • about the last song they did was'nt it?

  • @midsaint776 .er ........ glad to say you're absolutely wrong! They've been churning out brilliantly innovative and insanely catchy tunes for years through the 80's, 90's and noughties. There's something very wrong with the world when people are unaware of Sparks and painfully aware of Lady Ga Ga and Simon Cowell........

  • @shaggybristol like the emperor thespios did say..."give them bread and circus and watch them wallow in thy own black shit"..not very nice but a damming enditement of what todays society thinks is quality talent!!..it must be good cause simon cowell said it is!!!

  • @shaggybristol 70's?

  • @lesterpiglet1 OK it's a fair cop :) I meant since their heyday in the 70's when they at least graced the charts regularly ......

  • slacker hitler

  • Total genius! I forever associate this with Hot Gossip and Kenny Everett...this song was like science fiction to my young ears xxx

  • @johnvonahlen Kudos my friend, i could not have said it better. Lived through that era also.

  • anyone reckon the nissan micra "nice day for a drive...." is a rip-off of the long intro version of this?

  • I first saw Sparks live in 2006. It was one of the greatest concerts ever. And I managed to meet Ron & Russell. They're really cool.

  • yeah dude 80 s rocked soom many awesome bands from scotland too ALTERED IMAGES WET WET WET to name but a few a really great time to have been young . it knocks these shite times into a cocked hat . thank the big man upstairs i still have my memories if bugger all else

  • @brownbrador45 fuck off you haggis shagger

  • This song was produced by a musical genius GIORGIO MORODER. You may remember, Flashdance, Cat People, Midnight Express...God I miss the 80's.

  • THIS IS THE SOUND TRACK OF THE MOVIE BOARDING GATES with Asia Argento .... i love this song ...

  • The new wavers owe eveything to these guys...

  • At first I thought this might be a #1 song the Sparks had in 1979

  • Zabudnuté ale krásne.Predbehli dobu o zopár desať rokov.

  • blakey out of on the bus,s on keyboards.

  • this is EFFIN A! a shame on the dross music of today!

  • My very first favourite record :-( Wish I was still 5 years old .... a fucking mazing. Set me up for my electronic future...... ;-)

  • .....OMG....its sebastian from Little Britain....Bwahaahahaahahahhaa... seriously..I love The Sparks..

    "Sex Town USA".......classic.

  • Very funny the 1933-1945 basterd act of Ron.

  • The keyboard player looks like Edgard Varese.

  • Still the number one song in heaven : )

  • I had never heard of Sparks a month ago - someone gave me a link to "when do I get to sing my Way?", I liked it, checked out their other stuff and found this catchy gem - Yay Youtube!!!! lol

  • I loved this track when it first came out, love it more now, thanks x

  • the guy with the moustache is cool

  • @rocksoliddude1 Ron (the singer) and Russel(keyboards) Mael are brothers :)

  • @mfactor88 You're right, they are brothers, but it's Ron on keyboards, and Russell on vocals :)

  • @NoTonyPerkins oops been a while :)

  • Retro at its best...music was just about to explode!

  • Had thisalbum about30 years ago stil love it

  • Saw Sparks in London maybe 12 years ago. Standing next to us was Vince Clark. Erasure were good, but Sparks were first. Excellent.

  • Adolf Hitler, Synth Pop Pioneer

    XD

  • This song... it never gets old.

I never get tired of hearing it!

It's a damn shame this song was not bigger in the states... Not only because it was worthy of being a big hit IMHO, but because it makes collecting all the colored vinyl practically impossible because they're hard to find here in the US! :P

  • Guy with the tash is one of the most original of everything! You can't take your eyes off him - forget the singer bouncing about! Did I mention the track - classic!

  • Super!!!
