  • sweet simple vid awesome

  • Nice quick stencil but do you know a simple way to have no fog or blur around the edges? ive been using the wax paper method but that only works for certain sizes and dull detail. I heard spray adhesive might work for material other that paper?

  • is there any way to spread the picture over multiple pages without the posteriser?

  • Nice video. Thanks.

  • @sweetleetha Thanks for watching!

  • Thanks man!!! i was looking for a software like Posterazor... since i don't have corel or something like that. Nice video, it was simple and you explained yourself in such a good way

  • I don`t find anywhere that plastic foil...do you know exactly for what it`s made or i don`t know more information about that.Thanx

  • just look up duralar or dura-lar. It's known as an acetate alternative... which pretty much means a different kind of clear plastic stuff. haha... good luck finding where to buy it. shouldn't be too hard to.

  • Real helpful stuff man. Thanks a lot.

  • thank you!

  • thanks bro this video it really help me...

  • you're welcome! glad it helped. spread the vid!

  • Helped Alot Thanks , 5 Stars

  • thanks for watching!

  • Pretty incredible to see it being done! Thanks for sharing..

    RR

  • Thanks man. Have you ever done any multi-layered stencils before?

  • never done multi layers... want to learn how to ( how to do them well). I'll post a vid once I learn how to explain it well.

  • yeah i just put another paper and draw it out agen without sqaures

  • sorry for the wait....

you really have to imagine what the pic would look like without the pixelation and just cut the stencil that way ... I'm sure you figured it out by now though. if not... be more specific with a comment... or... just send me a message

  • my printer comes out sqaures on image

  • i'm guessing the image is pixelated. When you blow up a picture (especially one that is low quality) you will get a pixelated (square like) image.

If you put the image together from your printed pages (it might be a bit of a puzzle, but you'll get better at it with time) it will look like a regular picture from a distance away.

Hope this helps. if not..just reply again.

  • Good job ohndray. :) Appreciate your effort in filming and uploading this.

  • You are very welcome...I'm glad you enjoyed the vids

  • I having a problem when using posterazor. Sometimes when i save the file and then open it in acrobat it will show 3/4 of the image the same on every page. It doesn't do the mural and it says there was a drawing error. Can you tell me how to fix that? All of my images go through photoshop but are saved as JPEGs. I also use Dura-Lar. It's awsome for stencils.

  • WOW....that seems like a lot is going on there...and i really don't know how to fix that. Never ran into that problem. BUT...If you use windows (or know someone who does)... i know you can use ms paint to print out on multiple pages. Don't know the exact steps though. Shouldn't be too hard to figure it out. I'm not exactly an expert on troubleshooting. Sorry... really wish i could help you out there.

    Dura-lar is great! isn't it?!

  • this helped alot, THANK YOU! :)

  • Hey man this video is great I have been looking for a beginner video for a long time and all of them are lacking the details so thanks for making this vid. I really hope you learn and make a vid for multi layer stenciling.

  • Thanks for the love! Once i learn i'll make another...once i learn.

  • gj wit the vid especially the printing part but now can u make a vidso that it has layers??

  • I'm not too familiar with layers...sorry to say. But I promise i will make a vid once i learn that type of stencil technique. Thanks HappyLarry!

  • you have great technique - I really learned allot from you, Ive got to download/upload that print and cut program "Dular?? Ya thanks man - you r one cool cat, I plan on using your technique with my airbrush gun - when I become all rich and famous for my art work I will mention you man...DEF mention you!!!!

  • You're making me blush! haha...thanks man...glad you like the vid. i use photoshop to doctor up the pic. And i use posterazor(link in description) to print on multiple pages. Durlar is the plastic i use. I dont know where you can get it though...i tried looking it up but i couldnt find any online. I usually go to an art supply place by my house.

    Thanks again!

  • ***UPDATE***

    I did find it online...it's not durlar...it's called DURA-LAR.

  • thanks for the program introduction

  • can you use a plastic wrap made for notebook protection instead??? thx

  • You could try it. The beauty of stuff like this is you can always find different techniques and methods. More than one way to skin a cat. But...i do highly suggest durlar. not too expensive, wide for bigger stencils...good stuff. I've tried a lot of stuff and it works best for me...but that's just me. Good luck with your stuff! Feel free to message me if you want

  • or just use paint to print onto different pages ;D

  • Thanks man appreciate it.

  • nice vid, the volume of the music is kinda loud and distracting. Sometimes i cant make out what you are saying. But kool vid

  • cool vid!!! thx for the tips

  • what kind of tape did u use it?

  • Regular ass clear tape...nothing special.

  • Thanks :]

    I made an EAZY-E SHIRT :]

Came out sick with the help of your introduce to the program.

    Thanks :]

I should check out my :]

  • First off, i'd suggest using really light colored shirts and only black paint. The colors contrast more and it makes the stencil pop out. Since this is the case, you'll be able to use less paint. So you could just "dust" the shirt with paint rather than spraying it on really thick (Spray from a bigger distance). You're shirts aren't gonna feel the softest...but this should help. They soften up after a few washes too...but they might fade a bit.

  • Americans really dont... i had an older cousin who used to go to raves when i was in middle school and i kinda listened to what he listened to. Guess it just never got old to me. I love this stuff.

  • Thanks for The Vid, Posterazor, is very cool, look forward to more of your videos, Jv

  • Really glad you enjoyed it... STAY TUNED FOR MORE!

  • the card board will last just before you go out and use it spray it once then lit the stencil dry for like a day then do it again and let it dry again, it should last you a long time

  • That's a great tip....thanks

  • give me a little bit to answer you...i got it from a mixtape of DJ HYPE though.

  • whats the name of the program?

didnt understand what u said ty

  • posterazor...the link's in the description

  • appreciate the info dude!

  • no prob!

  • i do those lines to hold the face up too ... dumb people dont understand about islands and i hate it.

  • Turn the fucking music down.

  • turn the hatin' down!

  • awesome, this video totally explains so much better than the rest. thanks!

  • Thank you! spread the vid!

  • whats that roll of plastic called? the one u didnt use...

  • its called dura-lar

  • haha, even though i knew all the techniques you mentioned, this was a good tutorial and i watched the whole thing... *bam* [6:33] was my favorite part haha

  • ha...never noticed that.

    thanks kyu

  • np yo, thanks for the vid.

  • yo man wicked vid helped alot ! 1 Q tho 4 wen u want to use the stencil again how do use the plastic exactly ??

  • I tape the paper image down to something (desk, poster board...whatever), then tape the plastic on top (make sure it wont move). just worry about cutting the plastic and not the paper so much. just make sure you dont make the "connector pieces" too skinny because they'll eventually break and make a little harder to work with the plastic stencil down the line. I store my plastic stencils taped to cardboard or poster board.

  • Thanks man ! big help !

  • what program do u use for making the actual stencil?

  • Photoshop. I have another vid showing that process.

  • what is the name printer program again?

  • posterazor...check the description for the link.

  • Also, google "rasterbator". It's the "posterizer" program that I love--works for color blowups or B/W for stencils.

    Nice vid, by the way.

  • Rasterbator is dope for blowing up. The only difference is that it uses what's called half points (circles). I remember a couple of my friends taking advantage of that prog. and printing something like 100 pages at once.

Thanks for the post! i forgot about that prog. Takes me back a bit

  • correction...called halftones not halfpoints.

  • sick vid man, very usefull.

love the music, that cat dj hype is sick.

  • thanks man... spread it!

  • nice

  • this is fukin useful man

  • Thanks...spread it the word!

  • Awesome fucking tutorials!

  • THANKS!

  • turn down the fucken music i cant hear you

  • thanks for the input!

  • Nice tutorial.

  • Thanks!

  • wat app

  • i liked th vid. ty for the info.

    BDH crew soulzone

  • thanks! even though it's been a long while since you left the comment

  • You in MN? :) Nice work!

  • scratch that MN question. lol. Nice hat!

  • Thanks! haha... not really a fan but love that hat. Ps... know it's kind of a long ass time to comment but... just letting you know i appreciate the comment

  • What's the name of programm? i cant hear the name

  • its PosteRazor.

  • thanks ! good video....good beats too :)

one question....if you DO want to make a reusable one with the plastic you mentioned...do u stick the stencil onto the plastic first and then cut it?

  • you would just tape the paper down to something (maybe cardboard, poster paper or just on a table)...THEN lay the plastic over your design and tape it down so it wont move.

if that's not clear just let me know...would love to help you out as much as i can.

  • haha...I KNOW RIGHT!

  • Dude I don't comment usually, but Great Video man; from start to end. One of the best I've seen, no stupid comments, no corny fuckin jokes, just plain and simple. Good shit!!!

    dave Devoe NYC

  • thank you!

  • cut the music can't here you talk!

  • Do you any other programs casue it doesn't work with vista

  • you can use microsoft paint. i dont know if vista has it but it should. Just start messing with "page setup", change borders to zero (wont be zero exactly) and input the dimensions of pages you want the print out to be. there are tutorials for it on you tube somewhere.

  • that was sick dude. next time tone down the music just a bit.

  • i know! haha. i'm a noob to editing and just made it for fun.

  • you've answered all of my questions what no one else did..

the music on this one was abit too loud during the printing program thing but oh well

  • what was the program?

  • posterazor. you can find tuts on ms paint as well...i just like posterazor more. ms paint is good though.
