I consider TMWTGG the final chapter of the dull trilogy, although is definitely more entertaining than the previous two, I almost fell asleep watching Live and Let Die.
Are you kidding me? Live and Let die is a CLASSIC!! and i would hardly call Guy Hamiltons bayou boat chase "Dull Direction". I also think Moore did an admirable job in his first outing. Which to no doubt would have been an intimating prospect for any actor. But he pulled it off with a great deal of confidence, wit and polish. He made it his own. Sure any 1973 film is going to feel a bit dated today but these are far better made FILMS than the over the top "Die Hard" wanna be's they are now
By the Columbo comment I meant this could have been made for TV. It doesn't seem like much was splashed on it. If it was you can't see it on screen. These last three films are like cartoons. Sheriff Pepper being like something from a sketch. Interestingly it's the first to be made in just a year since Thunderball which says it all. Again a 5 out of 10
I can barely seperate this and the last two. They are all watchable and mildly entertaining but pretty lazy and naff as well. Christopher Lee is wasted here, him and Moore never match Connery and Dr No, they might with a better script. It has a few good set pieces but not much else and Goodnight is the worst bond girl ever. Even bond hates her. The theme song is appaling as well. I give it a 6. It's okay but far from great, it just seems like you could watch it after Columbo
@dtsnes86--- TMWTGG was on ITV1 this afternoon right after Columbo lol. They cut out the bit where he meets the naked girl swimming and she says "Chew Me" and he says "really". Not sure if it was the nudity or the dialogue which they objected to!
@cameronboy18 lol. What are the chances? My powers of intuition are amazing! ITV should hire me, I'd put Die another day on after Peter Andre. That would satisfy fans of total shit
Hamilton's 'Remo Williams' was also too dull and tongue in cheek. It felt more like the 1950's than late 1980's. MWTGG is one of my least favourite Bond films even with an improved Moore, Maud Adams and most of all Lee. Needed more action and a better ending.
4:08 my fav quote in this movie.

Why does everyone dislike Lulu? I think her theme song is as good as many of the others; not one of my top ranked songs but still pretty good.
