What would we do without facebook? Email covers your needs. Thats how I sens invitations, and I upload photos to picasa. Granted many people are losing the ability to communicate via normal email. But these are not friends, they have replaced social memory with coninuous influx of digital reminders. Can't be good for congitive skills in the long run.
Facebook not only holds a monopoly as a social network, but also sells your information to 3rd parties AND promotes isolationism between people. It gives them the illusion that they have "hundreds of friends", only to find yourself isolated from their families, relatives, and very few(if any) real life friends they have left. I have never created an account and probably never will; rather talk to them in flesh or by phone than anything else.

@yunguel When you upload photo's there is an option of High Quality (with warning that it will take 10 times longer). The once uploaded as High Quality there will be an option to download them as high quality too.

The truth is without facebook you would go on with your life just fine. Facebook is mostly useless and anyone who purports otherwise either works for Facebook or is one of those ver few sad individuals who actually can't live without it. The only worthwhile part of the video is the music...who was that?

@disposableproduction facebook makes life a lot easier, ppl can reach a large amount of ppl in a short time. questions can be answered, help can be given, and relationships are made through facebook. yes you can live without it, but its almost a necessity to keep up with everyone else

@TheBlankityblank that doesnt make them retarded! just stop hating its a new movement. im not saying id prefer getting a girlfriend just bcz i met them thru facebook, but if it makes it easier, y not. and also facebook makes great homework helping groups, spreads infomation so much easier. it makes meeting people up easier. its not needed but it really is part of daily life now and is almost a necessity
