I remember Martyn playing a nice choice of drum and bass tracks during a cyclicall RED ZONE dnb gigs in Einhoven some years ago.. Many stars were appearing there like for example Goldie, Storm, Hype and many more;) I believe he was (or still is) a sort of resident dj in De Effenaar music club. Great time it was people:) greets to all
This genre, dubstep, is amazing. Its got pumping beats yet has an ominous feel to it without being overly evil. 2562 also has that sort of vibe in his music as well just like Martyn. I hope these guys don't get swayed into the mainstream with money by the Big Suits.
seeing as i really don't like dubstep all that much, this tune is really really nice. Deep atmosphere, nice breaks, solid rolling sub bass and all out emotion in this track. That is something i can always get into! thanks martyn!
nah, dont compare this to hardstyle or electro, the only way I can put this is as it is something different, sure you could hear this in an elevator or a upscale resturant or a nice clothing store but hearing a dj play it on a sound system makes the difference, sure is trippy if you stay concetrated on it though.
The atmosphere on this track is mesmerizing. Once the sub-bass and repetetive urches and surreal voices pop in-- Boy-O-Boy, we've got some kinetic energy floating in the crowd!
Dubstep pushes the soundscape apart, opening up a spacy 'dub' gap or atmosphere, creating wider margins-- the sub and the percussion respectivly.

Anyone know where you can buy Martyn's music? Cuz I love his stuff, but he doesn't seem to be featured on any compilations.
FrailPumpkin 3 years ago 4
I think you can only get his music on vinyl...unless you use a certain Youtube to mp3 converter...

The best place for all you desire: discogs.com. Vinyl, cd, mp3 - look at labels find similar artists, so on and so forth.

This is good, but honestly, it's just restaurant music. Get some hardstyle or electro instead of this.
