Gary Lewis is my choir director and I get to sing in front of him its amazing! I can't believe that a international barbershop singer can say that our singing was wonderful or fantastic to the choir and to me. It's such a rush!
Gary Lewis is by far the best guy in this quartet, even if they all have won several golds; He can easily sing all four parts, and Gary helps the next generation! He's the director of the Men's Chorus at the Buckeye Harmony Camp. The camp's performance was actually Saturday.
Hey he is very good, but he won't sing tenor any more because with his old group that is what he sang and he ended up really hurting his vocal cords. He also teaches at a school near toledo, OH. He went to BGSU in Ohio.
@LetItBe920 Brian Beck has one a medal singing each part... gold on lead and bari, bronze on tenor and bass. So technically he's closer than Gary is to achieving a gold on each part. Gary could probably do lead... bass I don't know. I imagine he's a decent enough bass?
You would be correct. But I'm sure it's hard for Max Q to get alot of practice in since 2 live in texas and the others living in Florida and Ohio. It helps when all of ur guys live in the same time zone so u can work on things like.."blend"
well said dude, although regardless of where they live, i don't think blend can get much better than the other video posted of "put your arms around me honey" at this afterglow and especially there blend on here's to the winners
OC's still improving, they'll get there in the coming years.
Ooooh don't ever say Las Vegas he'll yell at you (and with that bright voice it's quite an experience!). Reno, NV, but he's at every Westminster rehearsal then OC Times rehearses as well in Cali. :)
Idk... you know there are a bunch of returning quartets... or should I say rearranged... I've heard that OC Times doesn't even have a chance with all the returnees. You never know though, I think that OC Times is soo great (and nice which is always a plus) and I'd hate to see them come in second last year only to get bumped off the winners circle this year. :(

I think Gary is a great asset to the group, but altogether, with their different qualities and styles, they merge brilliantly.

Gary Lewis...clearly the unsung hero in this quartet. He should try to be the first to win a gold medal on all four parts. :-)

Tell me if i'm wrong, but isn't the bassist the same bassist who was with The Acoustix early in their career?!

That it is! Jeff Oxely. Triple gold medalist - Rapscallions, Acoustix, and Max Q : )

This is a very powerful sounding quartet, but in my opinion, OC Times has a Better blend.

Think OC Times has a good shot at getting the gold this year in Nashville?
