How to Get the BEST Quality out of Your Easycap or Dazzle

I've got a dazzle dvc 100 and recently I've tried to record with it while I have a divx compression in effect but the damn thing won't let me record. I always get some time of image error or something. What am I doing wrong?

@unholydeath123 don't record while using a compressor, just use it for rendering cause otherwise it will result in your videos being really choppy, and you will also lose a pretty significant amount of quality

@Cudstuts yes i do have sound in both places, U need an svideo cable for the ps3 or xbox. It's really hard for me to explain all of this in text but i am planning on doing a complete tutorial series, probably 3 or for videos, on set-up, recording, enhancing, and rendering. make sure to sub to get it straight to your inbox

@Cudstuts Easycap, cause is cheap, and you can edit your easycap recorded videos to get on high definition just as Dazzel.

I need help with something , I'm actually just using VirtualDub to extract the audio , so when I do that it says I need a " third motion party codec " I noticed we had to download a codec , so what did you do with it ?

@TjFoXFTW I can't really help you out with that because virtualdub is a avi file editor only. I would recomend either changing your recording settings to record in avi or change your recording software all together. I use Debut Video Capture, but you can also use virtual dub to record although i do not recomend it.

@iEleKtriX sorry i wasn't able to get back to you recently. I would recommend that you restart virtual dub. If that doesn't work restart your computer. Still no luck, try re-installing divx all together. Keep in mind if divx doesnt work on your computer there are other codecs that probably will

Okay I was able to do everything exactly the way you did, even with that said it didn't come out with the amazing way yours did. But! This did help improve my quality oh and I did fix that problem with divx. So thanks though, it really improved my quality a lot. Without this tutorial my quality would be terrivle.

Okay I'm having a problem cause when I turn my video to an AVI. file and then when I open it then it goes to Divx and then it won't play the video.

@xIceBites Sorry I couldn't respond sooner, I was busy all day. Well Make sure that the DivX has a black icon when you install it, and make sure your confiuration settings are exactly the same as mine. If that doesn't help uninstall divx and then reinstall it.

@XxbkguitaristxX yeah it has to be avi, either download a convertor, i reccomend freemake video convertor or you can change the capture software you use, use debut or amcap

@bbPS3gamer okay this is wierd cause I had it all done and working perfectly and the program was like "error encountered" then it shutdown by its self. it didn't give me a chance to save too, but it was working. I'll try this all again cause it got all messed up. oh and the quality was amazing too, this vid really works. thanks!

when you say "extract all" I don't have that option when I right click on it but it says "exract files" will that work too? I'm going to try it.
