When I was a mid-teen (1977-82) My friends used to get down on me when I would play Floyd. They were hooked on Van Halen and Ozzy. Me too, but! I only had a couple of friends who saw Floyd as great. In fact I only had one friend who tailed behind me in this fan-hood. But by the time the 90's were closing and into the new millennium, everyone and their brother thought the Floyd were gods. Reminds me of little kids who freak at the thought of sexual stuff, but years latter...they can't get enough.
@LLH97921I have fond memories of listening to the Floyd with grandma and grandpa. We'd blast Heart of the Sun and Echos, let the warm summer days wash over us; grandma Lulu would blend some vanilla ice cream LSD milkshakes and we'd howl at the sun AND THE MOON for four days. Then my leathdaddy king LH Floyd would materialize from the pool and we'd sing and dance and the ritual of leather.
@MattieCooper Dem da days, whew! Billy-bob and Flo wud sit 'bout with dem eyes a poppin. Shucks! An to bad 'bout 'ol Zeek, sure as heck he'd go out pritnear every time and shoe 'em a horse, or smoke the cob. Seems he just couldn't trip like wez did. Never did tell us what all the fuss wuzabout. Reckon he'd 'a bad shroom time or two. But we'd blow up a cloud 'o barn bud. Ya know that starched up Walton clan, down 'bout stony pass? Sure as heck, they'd see ta tell all the folk at the exchange.
I was a Floyd nut since the early 1970's, and I also took a lot of crap from the same people who jumped on the bandwagon after "The Wall" came out. It wasn't "cool" for me to like them, but suddenly when a hit song says "Hey, teacher! Leave us kids alone!" everyone was a Floyd nut. And "The Wall" is my least favorite PF record.
I guess people like us are pioneers in our own circles.
@5jerry1 My favorite Floyd was The Wall. But lots of Floyd is too close. I know I had a rockligious experience with Animals. Then Wish You Were Here was so polished that enhancers were not needed. Dark side of the Moon fell out of rock-heaven! Only angels in a studio can do that. And Echoes (Meddle) is an out-of-body odyssey. Careful with the Axe Eugene, Astronomy Domain, Set the Controls, Free Four, all diamonds. But it's the Wall that I traded my mind for. Don't much miss the mind since.
@GandhisLastJam man are you sure about that?one person is a tool, you might be right but the world is full of them ,what do you have to say about only 147 persons out of 35,111 persons, only 147 liked the video ?where is the rest? would you call it they were afraid to push the like button or scared to press the dislike?
There have been numerous times where I'll watch a video, like it, then watch another, and completely neglect hitting the "like" or "dislike" button. I'm sure lots of people do this.
And have you ever really liked something and then accidentally hit the "dislike" button? That has happened to me a few times (seldom, it has happened), at which point I feel like crawling under a rock.
I meant accidentally moving your cursor just as you are about to click. I use a laptop with that weird pad that you have to touch with your fingertip. I have, on occasion, slipped and hit the wrong one. Then I feel "stoopid" for doing it. And you can't correct it, because once you hit one, it stays. <:-0
@5jerry1 lol ok man that is your thing haha .maybe ive never experienced that ,but when it comes to that ,i will let you know that you were right.maybe we will both live to see the comet halley again which was seen on 1986 only 25 years ever since so add up like 41 more years to that from now . so ,if by then i made a mistake i will still let you know ,,have a great day man !!! see you soon like in 41 years ,left to see the halley's comeback to earth /lol
did you noticed that around the minute 8:25 roger screams something like "one more!!" and they keep playing a little longer?? poor david you can tell he was tired at the and jeje

I want this played at my wake, funeral, and when they're going back to the car. Then on the way home drop off a cheap cassette player with this song to the maternity ward. Tell the nurse to put it on real soft in the nursery.

Wow! It's soo cool to see a rare live performance like this. Nick's going to town on the drums, and rockin' that sweet mustache! Nick is the man!!! Pink Floyd will live forever. Thanks for posting man.
it is such a sad thing the whole show on this concert .had more songs on it.i read it on an article.i will be waiting this if it comes ever out complete .i read also they performed instersellar overdrive.and more songs.if people here notice both tracks are cut big time.set the c.was around 20 minutes .and so it was saucerful of secrets.

This song sounds so beautifully sad, Celestial voices is the bit that gives me 'welcome' chills, and fits perfectly with representing the mourning of the dead after a bloody battle. I love it soo much. The Live at Pompeii version is still the definitive performance in my eyes, but i do like the opening of Saucerful on here very much.
