  • and in Korea (I dunno about other Asian Nations), Beef is VERY expensive...it's not like in the US where you can go to safeway/Ralphs and just pick tri tip beef loins for only 4 or 5 bucks. That same package would cost 30 bucks in Korea (30000 Won).

  • Why are Asians in Asia weaker? They grow up eating a shit ton of SOY products! This halts their testosterone production. When I was in Korea, it was surprising that people are kept in the dark about soy products and live in denial, and nearly EVERYTHING there is made of soy because it's cheap source of protein to produce.

  • this guy is a legand very underated fighter he got caught by condit i want a rematch the guys great on the ground and his stand up has improved dramatically i was really impressed with his counter boxing in his last fight

  • @DangerasTM He can be the first full south korean champ one day if he goes to a top striking coach/gym and continues to improve his cardio, imo

  • that's some serious cauliflower ear!

  • haha "more hormones and better muscle?" xb

i never heard that before..maybe hormones..muscle just depends on your build lol

  • @Az0ngl33 Look up Human Growth Hormones. This is what he's talking about. People dope themselves with this in a lot of sports. It's untrue... Asians do have a higher metabolism rate then your average american though so he just needs to eat more protein and more carbs then your average america. Korean cuisine is generally low in protein.

I don't think its true but whatever makes him push himself it's working. He improved a lot in this fight.

  • i love how DHK is never afraid to call out the best fighters, Diaz, GSP, etc. thats why i love him

  • @angelspackersrock yeah and he has entertaining fights, one of my favs.

  • 7:18 -- lol gotta love the translator's face.

  • loved his face after kim jong il question

  • DHK may not think he is in the top 10, but he is right on the cusp. If you rule out older fighters who may retire in their next few fights like Penn, and Hughes, he is right there. He has beat some decent competition, like Amir and Nate Diaz, which is why he got the chance against Condit. I think if he fights Condit again he is capable of winning. In terms of style, I think he can beat GSP, but can probably never beat Nick Diaz.

  • lol at the kim question

  • South Korea ---------- North Korea

  • North Korea is best Korea. fuck these guys.

  • Im forcing it on you because its a fact and im right and your wrong...think about what your saying. that you get big puffy ears from rolling around on the ground? Thats absolutely preposterous. In case you dont understand me, ITS FROM GETTING PUNCHED IN THE FUCKIN EAR

  • Actually you do get cauliflower ear from rolling around on the ground. That's why wrestlers and Jujitsu people wear headgears that cover only their ears. In Jujitsu my friend got it, then we all bought head gears haha It's from constant squishing and rubbing of your ear. But you probably can get it from being punched too.

  • @ChamorruWarrior K first of all ive never seen some1 in jiu jitsu wear headgear..EVER in the 50 or so classes ive been in, but thats not my forte so dont quote me. I have, however seen a wrestler smash his ear off an opponents leg and get cauliflower ear instantly. I have seen Kimbo Slice smash and cauliflower James Thompsons ear on contact. Im no expert, but because, i dont want to roll around on the ground or put dirt in my ear, i will politely agree to disagree.

  • Well you can disagree all you want, but you still can get cauliflower ear from too much rubbing damage to your ears via grappling... lol

  • @ChamorruWarrior o shit no i was responding to the other guy partially...he wasnt implying that it was from getting hit in the ear...and that it was from dirt or something

  • @sensfan10000 But u cant tell me the fighter above didnt get those ears strictly from jiu jitsu..he got punched in the ears

  • It's from both, you can get ears like that because what happens is REALLY gross. When you have too much rubbing damage your ears get all gross and puss filled. If someone were to then like you said, punch you in the ear after the cauliflower ear is formed it will explode. But you can get ears like that from grappling and getting cauliflower, healing then get it again over and over.I'm not arguing with you, I'm telling you xD I KNOW 150% that we are right.BOTH of us are right. You get it from both

  • The interpreter's laugh kinda reminds me of Bobby Lee :P

  • i seriously believe he can beat nick diaz. i mean he has amazing judo and wrestling and if he can keep nick diaz down there, i think we will see a upset.

  • Translator sucks. THey need to hire me.

  • Asians will tend to have slimmer builds and not bulk up as easily as black and whites is what he meant. Same reason why Americans are on the whole fatter and Koreans more fit. When you're training for MMA that means a lanky guy like Kim has to work a lot harder to keep up his strength.

  • About the asians having disadvantage he said that if there was a 1 hour session against a asian and african american or some other country that the other race will win because of hormones or gentics. Hence thats why he has to train x2 more.

  • Man this translator sucks.

He said that hes not in the 10 top hence he wants to fight nick or nate which they are in the top 10 to be in the top 10.

  • @convekz Why? It's good to get an inside point of view.

  • @groovybiatch dhk is not an insider or related to north korea in any way. would you ask an american fighter about osama dying?

  • Kim Jong question was lolworthy for sure.

  • lol says hes not top 10, then says he wants to face number 2 nick diaz

  • Asian has a disadvantage in physical aspect? Maybe on reach, but what an ignorance.

  • its true its the food they eat but they are 10 X smarter

  • I'd like to stir the pot with this genetic discussion / athletic ability and say that some of the strongest (lighter weight) Olympic Weightlifters are asian, namely Chinese.

I also consider Olympic Weightlifters to be among the strongest individuals in any sports because internationally it's a bigger sport than powerlifting for example, and has been around for a lot longer.

How ever I do think the asians clearly lack large athletic individuals for the heavier divisions.

  • someone should've asked what he said in the post fight interview with Rogan...

  • Real liked this guy. Intimidating looking

  • Please no more translation with this one

  • Barack obama mother fucking guy! unnessary kim jong il fucking question

  • General McCarthur once said Koreans are the finest figthing machines/soldiers in the world. They train so hard...but it's not good enough.

Stun Gun needs to spend more time training in the States for striking and strike defense.

The fact that Pierson couldn't connect had more to do with Pierson's inability rather than Stun Gun's skill. Stun Gun was WIDE OPEN to get knocked out by a superior fighter.

What did he learn from Condit? Apparently nothing.

  • @ChiTownEd84

its not all about skill. If dong hyun trained more of his cardio, I mean a lot more, he'd be as dominant as gsp.

  • Kim is a bit slow if he trains hard to be a little fast he should be able to beat anyone

  • during this fight did anyone notice the annoying blonde bitch and she asks pierson "do u wanna keep going?" and his corner is like "yea no shit u dumb cunt gtfo" annoying

  • why was that kim jong il question asked? so weird

  • @luca11222 Cuz Bryant is a fuckin blood suckin kaniving opportunistic SADISTIC cunt.

  • the translator looks like Kim Jong-un....lol

  • @That604Dude its a complete different beginning Helios brother was taught grappling in japan then brought it to brazil and taught helio then they began adding hundreds of moves and eventually gave it the name bjj.

  • MMA reporters are the most unprofessional reporters its like watchin amateur hour

  • kim improved his footwork..and a bit of his standup and cardio..id matchup ebersole vs kim

  • gotta give props. He brought it, his stand up looked much improved. I thought it was gonna be the usual grappling, grinding decision but that fight was very exciting. Much props to Kim.

  • I thought it was a fair question to ask, considering the answer he gave.

  • @portuviejo no its stupid would she ask an american abouy bush dying? or brit about john major? its a useless question

  • Comment removed

  • i normally like your interviews preferred you over Ariel at times... but that Kim Jong il question was ignorant, unrelated, and stupid as FUCK.

  • Hire the Korean Zombie's translator. He's good.

  • Lol Translation fail at the end. You'd think UFC could get a real translater.

  • Comment removed

  • this translation is bullshit like really? disguisting that i see a translation like this, in the beginning about muslim gaza war? he said nothing about that, why on earth is that even there? he talked about training and working hard before the fight, i'm going to try to contact kim's manager about this, and get the person who translated this sued. absolutely disguisting

  • @schoolsful sued? shut the fuck up, the dude sucks at translating but is probably getting next to nothing to help his teammate and hyung out, so let's see you do that. korean zombie's translator is truly a needle in a haystack, dude was an english major before even learning how to speak korean.

  • Please get someone else to translate. You lose fans with a translator like that.

  • but yes asians ar not as strong but they are smarter

  • ?some of best light weights are asians

  • This translator is terrible and is not even giving his full effort to translate what DHK is saying, especially the last question. It's frustrating to watch. He must be a manager and a part of Team MAD or KTT cause he has never translated well since DHK came to the ufc in 2008.

  • he still needs to work on his stand up

  • Myung ho Bae and Doo ho choi! They have Dongs approval, UFC sign them!

  • @Darkfirefire Bae is very good lightweight, but couldn't get the UFC contract after he was KOed by Zaromskis. Choi is about 20 and he's fearless. I'd love to see them in the UFC.

  • excellent translator

  • DHK I was impressed by your performance. I hope to see more of you in the cage. Congrats.

  • i liked the question about kim jong ill because most people around the world thought south korea gave a fuck but apparently they dont lol..

dong also thinks GSP cant knockout nick diaz. because nick will take punishment to punish you hahaha

danas worst nightmare. nate LW champ and nick WW champ lol

  • DHK is better than GSP, Condit, and Nick Diaz combined.

  • @MasterfulInsane are you stupid ?

  • @92chewy

DHK is the best, screw you.

  • Asians in lighter weight division compared to Caucasians and Africans are faster and more flexible so Asians in lighter weight divisions fight better. you look at the Korean Zombie, he is the proof!

  • What Kim meant to say was that Asians have to work twice as hard to get the same physical strength as Caucasians and Africans. He claims that if Asians do the same amount of work as them they will not win the physical strength area.

  • @phoLegit actually most asians are ground oriented not striking bjj orinated from japan so they know a lil sumthin sumthin

  • @TheChokeoutartist But the B in BJJ stands for Brazilian does it not? So jiu-jitsu originated from Japan and BJJ originated from Brazil. Or atleast BJJ is a variation of what originated in Japan.

  • @That604Dude

Actually, the B stands for Belize. Brazilians lied and claimed it as their own.

  • his ear is so fucked!!!!!!!!!!

  • How the fuck was the question about Kim Jon all that bad? It's in the news and he's S. Korean...

  • haha the face on the translator when she asked about kim jeong's death. i cracked up haha.

  • of course he had homework to do, he;s Asian

  • I like that he acknowledges his weakness in his striking skills and works twice as much to get better. If he continues his work ethics like that, we will get much better.

  • Why is the translator sweating more than the guy who just fought?

  • Comment removed

  • @InterestingFella translating from Eng to Kor and Kor to Eng is hard! language is too different...

  • @InterestingFella because your fat

  • What a stupid question about Kim Jong. Karen pull your self together!

  • 8:03 Nigga

  • Damn Steven Seagal just keeps popping up :D , the man is everywhere.

  • Carlos fucking wrecked this dude

  • @MrDripdrop fuck u

  • @MrDripdrop yeah, condit knocked 'em out. so what is he supposed to do after a loss? just quit?

  • @MrDripdrop

    So? It happens.

  • @MasterfulInsane bawhahahahahahahahahahahahhahhahah

  • @MrDripdrop

    :-|

  • the lady had some real obvious n stupid questions

  • @bladelee36 idiot

  • "if we workout the same as black/white people we will not win because we are made different" Translated for you

  • GEEGEEGEEGEE baby baby baby

  • Great Interview. Stun Gun very direct and truthful person. He doesn't bullshit. Congratulation Kim. Your always be winner.

  • It's true that Blacks and Whites have more explosive muscle compared to asians.. I learned that their muscles are better for explosiveness whereas asians are built for endurance. But Asians have way better mental strength... That is pretty much the only weapon Dong has that is superior to the other fighters.. Having said that, his success in the ufc shows what a warrior he is..

  • @korkorean you mean blacks have more fast twitch muscle fibers than other races. blacks also have more testosterone. East Asians evolved from whites according to current evolutionary theory and are closely related biologically to whites. Whites and Asians also have neanderthal DNA (2-5%) whereas Africans do not.

I don't know about endurance but Asians have an average IQ of 105, American whites 95, American blacks 85 and African blacks 80. so there are racial differences.

  • @shalom1948hellyeah , my IQ test is 140.

  • @korkorean

Arguing over racial averages is moronic and it doesn't prove that Dong isn't more physically capable than the guy next to him.

  • Just thinking how nick never really got mentioned by other fighters much until beating bj. Now other top welterweights are saying he's got the best stand up. Good to see him get some respect

  • The guy was having a hard time translating because the interviewers asked them some sensitive questions,.. Especially the part about asians being disadvanteaged... Also, Dong was too blunt about his answers.. He was too honest.. I mean who goes on television and saids asians are disadvantaged in this sport?? loll I mean he is right but still.... And dont get me started about Kim jong Il question lol.. Just shows how ignorant that interviewer was...

  • 7:10 for kim jong il

  • how many like times did the like translator like say like, like what's up with that?

  • Was impressed with Kim.

  • Comment removed

  • what an extremely ignorant question about kim jong il

  • @yogesh892 Agreed

  • @yogesh892 its cause shes a nigger they got no maners

  • @yogesh892 There was nothing disrespectful about that question. Why don't you explain why

  • wow this card was real surprising...siiiick

  • man he needs a better translator. the guy didn't translate half the stuff dong was saying

  • @tupark82 for real ?!? I think this dude is a WAY better translator than most fighters translators. for example the translator Dennis Siver has is brutal !! the guy actually thought they were asking what HIS opinion on the fight strategy was instead of Siver...just one example of many horrible translators, I actually thought Dongs was pretty good overall....

  • thanks karyn for the post. Go Stun Gun, korean pride!

  • Comment removed

  • 7:17 lmfao

  • He can speak English but he hates talking in English because of his heavy accent.

  • Swetty balls !!

  • superman chin

  • I have to disagree with one thing he said. Condit can't beat Diaz in standing? Condit, he got KO'd so he probably forgot that Condit KO'd him with flying knee and fist.

  • K-1 Kim came to fight baby, wooooo!

  • Here's the thing that Kim needs to realize. If he keeps training in Korea, he will get way too comfortable and can harm him in the future. He needs to go to a gym that not only utilizes his judo skills, but also improve in other areas as well.

  • I think I saw him in Skyrim :D

  • He is a great fighter. But he does gas in the third round.

  • stefan seagal didnt learn nobody shittt!! why do people keep coming with that bullshit!??

  • fast upload karyn

  • I love "Stun Gun" he gives long ass speeches with such enthusiasm!

  • Hah thats cool how he was commenting on asians being not as muscular cause of hormones and what not....i was just watching pride today and thinking about that

  • @sensfan10000 i think its the diet asian usually eat more greens while americans eat more meat so more proteins

  • lol, his translator couldn't believe you asked him about kim jong il. but it had to be said, haha. that was great karyn.

  • @kenta54023 I imagine you're just beginning to watch mma. When I first started watching, I was wondering what was wrong with people's ears. Those are cauliflower ears. They come from grappling.

  • @str8OuttaNaptown30 lol u really think thats from grappling? Ive practice jiu jitsu and freestyle wrestling quite a bit and ive never had ears remotely close to those

  • @sensfan10000 Yes, to my knowledge, they came from grappling, hence the reason for the head gear that covers your ears. Sure, you may not have them, neither does Lesnar, but people like Cotoure have them. If you go look at the A-Team movie, you'll hear Randy talking about his cauliflower ears, and how he got it from wrestling, even though it was scripted, the point is, it came from grappling.

  • @str8OuttaNaptown30 lol noo dude i absolutely, 100% guarantee you thats not from grappling. In my high school career ive never seen anyone wear those stupid head straps and ive see 1 minor case of cauliflower ear. This fighters ears are both brutal. I am not lying to you to validate my statement..Watch Kimbo Slice vs James Thompson, he cauliflowers his ear in one punch. Believe me when i tell you, this fighter got punched in the ears..Idc what you heard from Randy Couture in an Ateam movie.lol.

  • @sensfan10000 No, Kimbo didn't give James Thompson that cauliflower ear, James already had a cauliflower ear, and Kimbo just busted it. I'm pretty sure the cauliflower ear is formed by the tearing of the cartilage. The tearing of the cartilage comes from grappling, when your ears roll around the ground, the cartilage in your ear tears, causing calcification, where your ears fill up with blood and puss. Cauliflower ears aren't just from grappling, no. At least that's what I was taught.

  • Cauliflower ear (also hematoma auris, perichondrial hematoma, and Traumatic auricular hematoma[1]) is a condition most common among boxers, amateur wrestlers, professional wrestlers, rugby players, and mixed martial artists. If the external portion of the ear suffers a blow, a blood clot or other fluid may collect under the perichondrium. This separates the cartilage from the overlying perichondrium that is its source of nutrients, causing the cartilage to die.

  • @sensfan10000 This leads to a formation of fibrous tissue in the overlying skin. When this happens, the outer ear becomes permanently swollen and deformed, resembling a cauliflower

  • @str8OuttaNaptown30 FROM A BLOW TO THE EAR....but whatever man you obviously cant admit your wrong so im just going to stop talking.

  • @sensfan10000 I should have stopped talking to you, because you're so convinced in what you're saying, that you won't give thought to a chance of you being wrong. I NEVER said I was right or wrong. I simply told you what I learned. I didnt try and force an answer on you, like you have been trying to do to me. I see that you went and googled cauliflower ear, and stole an answer, an answer in which I gave you. Like I said, it comes from grappling when it comes to MMA fighters.

  • Which is which?

  • Make the interview short...he brought HIS STUN GUN!!! lol

  • He's going to amaze some people sooner or later

  • Very interesting interview, nice to see the Korean perspective

  • Karyn with the bold question about Korean politics!

  • Jon Fitch got koed

  • @jimmy92635 epic lulz were had

  • translator must be having a boner or something cause he's sweating terribly right now

  • @ThatCooLDUD3 I would have a boner with Karyn too, and not be ashamed of that.

  • Comment removed

  • @MrFaelon he wrestles and they get that ear shape after awhile because it rubs against the floor

  • YES!!! My best friend is Asian now I can tease him using this interview LOL I doubt Asians as a race have less hormones.

  • @dannielpreto he totally pulled that out of his ass. more hormones and muscles.. wtf. i think he meant more in terms of strength wise through wrestling because asian fighters are more confident in stand up rather than ground.

  • @phoLegit no i believe he meant that asians are not as physically bigger than white people and therefore have to train harder

  • @p00gle agreed. most asian fighters fight pretty much close to their walking around weight. for example, buakaw, 2 time k-1 max winner, he said in an interview he never weighs more than 70kg and that is the limit for k-1 max. but as the thais say, even if the opponents r bigger, its against a foreigner so no problem

  • @phoLegit depends man, if you look at a lot of the successful asian mma fighters, they usually have a grappling background i.e. sakuraba, aoki.

  • @conradtwchow but look at yamamoto vs mighty mouse as an example

  • @phoLegit lol he's 0-2 in the ufc. I was talking about the successful ones.

  • brock won!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ko

  • @420DROOPS21 nice try buddy

  • translator is absolutely sweating.

  • Best postfight interview of all time.
