Yes, but watch out. The guy in this video's form does nothing to protect his back. They speak about bending at the hips but the guy in the video is bending mostly his trunk. Your back sound be slightly arched (not rounded as in this video) and all the bending down should be done from the hips.

If I am not wrong, you can do that with dumbbells as well so long you keep the same form.
