and you dont need to have flash 10 or 9 to watch youtube you can have flash lite support like nokias symbian os has had in there browser you done have a clue wat u are talkn about
youtube always have played on the n900 right out the box so wat do you mean this is a joke make anothe video to prove that we can play espn videos and nba.com video etc then we will believe until then this is a big joke make youtube play on the n900 lmao when youtube already plays with flash 9 omg haha
this doesnt do anything all it does is shows the play button thats it you cant play any video thats why he didnt play anything just showed that the video said play smh
@rccte89 No. N900 can play flash directly in its browser without doing this.
I did the trick in this video because Adobe upgraded its Flash Player to version 10 but this new version is not available for all mobile phones, except Froyo. By performing this trick, you don't have to wait for Adobe to release the compatible version of Flash Player 10 (God knows when) for N900 and can start playing Flash again.
@sapiensbryan my question was not clear enough i am sorry. i know it has flash 9 built in and adobe has not released flash 10.1 for the n900 specifically ( even though they showed it running on n900 months ago). but what i am asking is............Most websites such as youtube or espn or facebook all require flash 10.1 correct? so when i visit sites such as those or any other site...will the n900 not play the content?
@rccte89 Most websites do not need Flash Player 10 to play their Flash contents but the website will automatically request the visitors to have the latest Flash Player (currently version 10) in order to play the Flash content. That's why we'll see the upgrade message 0.05 in this video if we do not have the latest Flash Player installed.
Therefore, we tweak the N900 using this trick to fool the websites by telling the website N900 has Flash Player 10 installed.
@sapiensbryan i just bought the n900 and this application did not want 2 download so can you give me another clue or method in order 2 have facebook and youtube videos working... it did not want 2 launch the download after typing the comment neither the rootsh thing...

Let me know if you want me to capture another video to show Youtube videos are playing in my N900 default browser using this trick.

This looks dodgy to me... USE AT YOUR OWN RISK GUYS!
wouldnt be surprised if this would be a backdoor software.
I personally dont trust guys and tweaks like this.
YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT THAT SOFTWARE DOES (on pc or mobile it doesnt matter)... :S

@PlanetH0PE Dodgy? Ok, maybe you can wait for the Flash Player update from Adobe. :)

@helen624 No password is needed, you only need the 2 apps as described in my blog post. The link is available in the description below this video.
You'll find more details of this trick in the post.
Cheers!
