you got to get special ranking for every mission to get the x-plane, got to stay in your bed-room for a thousand days, ha ha, I'm not a big gamer myself but I completed this game all alone, coz no-one I knew would play it with me, and regarding being able to look down at the control panel, what's the point when the display is there on the screen? The programmers used all the graphics to make the flying look real instead, I loved this game, a logic all of its' own

@SpruceDread4578 Yeah that would be fun they should make an Ace combat thats super realistic with fuel, limited missles, and missles that are hard to dodge. Because you cant dodge missles that easy. Oh and the ability to look at the control panel for radar and stuff.

@SpruceDread4578 LOL but ace combat is not completely realistic. You cant hold 82 missles holy fuck thats too many. Real fighters can only hold 6-8 missles. If they in a squadron of fighters together that will be about 48 missles. But really 82 or even 50 is not realistic for one jet.

@SpruceDread4578 i love su-37 as well it does have better mobility but the x-02 is great. You know the f-22? its can lock on its Xmma missles at 1800ft while the x-02 can lock on at 2600ft. In addition it can hold 16 qaam or 26 xmmas. Its a great airplane and it travels really fast

I always like to help out my squadron members against the enemy planes in this mission, I always make sure all 9 of my friends are still alive before I take on megalith...Don't know why...its just a feeling I always have to satisfy...

This mission always taunted me when I played this game years ago. I was able to beat every level EXCEPT this one. The planes were no problem...but the tunnels...ughhhh.

Man fuck this mission! First time playing through, died like thirteen times trying to fly through the goddamn tunnels. Flying too low, Crash! Flying too high, Crash! Flying too fast, hit that one fucking corner in the left vent, Crash! Flying too slow and stalling, falls and Crash! Not to mention those boushie ass yellows in the beginning. Just stand still and let me fucking kill you already dammit. You're only delaying the inevitable.  Still love this game though.

@KTG690 Lol, i find it easy in ACE mode. You were supposed to learn how to fly low in the ground attack missions. If you still have too much trouble, you can press up in the d-pad to stabilize, that will help a lot.

to prevent stall, avoid going under 300kph (180mph) and keep the thrust over 25%.

To shoot down the yellows, trie to make them evade your missiles and shoot them down with your gun while they turn.

this game took me 7 years to complete. I just kept getting stuck on the oil rig mission and i had no clue what to do. once i figured out the rest of the game flew by because i completed it in one day after figuring out.

@nashvideo89 lol, might i say fail. unless u just got really fucking mad at the game, and didnt play for 6 years and 364 days (unless its leap year).... its an easy game. i admit the first time i did operation lifeline, i died from not having enough points, but after one or two more tries, i got the rest of it down. it should not take even over a week to beat this game, and it took me only a day to finish. the game isnt that hard honestly

Yea i fkn love this game

I had it 5 years ago with my ps2, but god rid of it when i got a psp. I got a ps3 now and found it at a local game store. This game is at least 6 years old.

3 things.

1: Ace is really fraking hard.

2: The X-02 i dont think is a real aircraft, though i really dont know.

3: The 2 best aircraft are SU-37 and the X-02. Both have potent AA (QAAM) and AG weapons, (BDSP and UGBL) .

Ive just played this one, though i understand there was an ACB1, for ps1, and i rented ACB5.

Autopilot for tunnels doesn't mean he's a bad pilot. I use autopilot to correct my alignment in tunnels sometimes when the aircraft I'm flying is a bit unstable.

Yeah, i did, but that was a long time ago.

i now only play Ace mode, and i don't use Super Planes anymore either. Ever since i joined Aquila Wing, i now only fly Sukhoi class fighters, most notably the Su-37 in Y13 paint scheme in AC4, AC5 and AC Zero.

This mission was awesome!...though it would've been more interesting if Megalith was firing back at the planes (I mean, what's the point of the lasers shooting from it...they could blast asteroids but weren't they smart enough to use it as anti-air weaponry?). Then again, I'd be asking too much for an already epic last level.
